Nice State park

We camped in loop F site 43 with full hookups, nice asphalt pad picnic table and fire ring. Our site is located adjacent to a mowed grass path that leads to the main road, close to the camp store. Beautiful area, lots of hiking and biking trails and swim area.

Northern Happy Place

Blacktop roads, cement pads, big rig friendly, tiki bar, and a professional, polite, and efficient staff make this a great campground.

One of our favorite places

Have stayed here multiple times over the years and will continue to go back. Wide assortment of sites and services. Waterfront sites don’t have much shade but you get a great view. Playground and beach are awesome for family time.

I would definitely go back

This might be one of my favorite campgrounds, but I may be biased because we lucked into a spot by the water. The spot had an acceptable amount of space, our neighbors were all friendly, and I really liked the bathroom set up. It is pretty kid friendly with a small maintained beach area, and was…

Beautiful park

Great fishing from almost every part of this park. Two beaches to swim. Almost every campsite is on the water. It’s so nice it’s hard to reserve, because people grab it nine months in advance! Wonderful!

Pretty Views, Pretty Crowded

We’ve heard great things about this camp ground and I can see why ppl come here. The views are beautiful, the water is clear, but wow is it crowded! We like to have privacy and prefer a quiet experience but ppl here are packed in. Everywhere we turned there was a person or kid running around on the…

Great Resort Campground

I’ll start by saying Swan Bay is a busy, family-oriented campground. We arrived on a weekend and it was pretty busy but loved it during the week when everybody left and things were quieter. Our site (#38) was a Passport America site so we got a great nightly rate of $42 which is half of the regular…

  • Sites are paved with some gravel and paved patios.
  • Beautiful waterfront sites if you want to shell out the $

Would not stay again!

Not really sure what to say about this campground, other than I would not stay here again (thus a one-star rating). It really is not what you would think of as a “campground” or “RV Park.” It is a decent price at $40/night + tax for a 50-amp full hook-up site but it is pretty dumpy. There are tons…

  • Lots of park models.
  • Our site (in the forefront) was grassy with picnic table and fire pit but not very level for our coach.
  • Transient sites.

Tucked away and peaceful

This campground is small but quiet and right on the water. They sell firewood right up the road or you can just visit the Amish for wood scraps. Favorite thing is the family of owls that inhabit the trees that you see every night.

Perfect for Thanksgiving

I headed up to Wellesley Island state park for the long Thanksgiving weekend with three teenagers (one girl and two boys). We rented cottage A, which was clean, spacious, warm and fully stocked with everything we needed. The fire pit outside was the only disappointment as it was well below ground…

unclean, sites on top of each other

This campgrounds is used by my family and friends for years for a fishing tournament.  I don't often attend but I did this year.  The bathrooms didn't look clean at all.  At best, they look like they are cleaned weekly.  The toilet seats looked like they were stained from lack of proper cleaning. …

Sleepaway camp, family camp, day use

Beaver Camp (or, officially Adirondack Mennonite Camping Assoc.), is a classic summer youth sleep-away camp on Beaver Lake. Sleeping in cabins with bunk beds, swimming, canoes, and a high ropes course, gathering around the campfire to end the day- Beaver Camp has it all.

Weekend and week long…

Big campground with plenty to do

This campground is massive and the park is beautiful. We stayed in the C loop at site # The site was large enough to fit our 27’ camper and had ample room off the side for entertaining. (We were able to set up 2 canopies, have our awning fully extended, set up a 6 person tent, an area for the kids…
