Was able to tent fairly close to the lot. No cell service. If you bring a handsaw youll be good for firewood. Bugs were pretty bad. Awesome sunrise.
Went there this weekend. The site was clean and the pond area was very scenic. Not too rowdy neighbors which was a plus for us
Site F -90- there is a slope on the site with limited privacy. I suggest avoiding this site but there are quite a few other sites that looked nice and a stream flowing through.
We arrived here early afternoon, which ended up being perfect timing as we could set up everything and catch sunset by the fire. The place is pretty easy to access with paved road the whole way there except for the last 1/2 mile where it is very bumpy. Some might say 4*4 but we made it just fine in…

Stayed here back in sept 2015, it was nice and quiet. Our site was a little rocky but you can’t be to picky!
Located in Port Crane, New York this is a brewery that allows dispersed camping in their paved parking area as long as you support their business. They have a food truck and unbelievable beer of all types. Make sure you call ahead at least one day in advance to ensure the owners are aware of your…

We spent a relatively quiet long weekend here on loop F 97, which is a bit removed from the main campground. It was a bit noisy on Saturday night but nothing disturbing. This site also is bordered by a small stream so expect mosquitoes and the occasional visit from wildlife (we had raccoons at our…

No costumers service at all, disrespectful stuff a specially owners, very rude. Restrooms dirty. During check in at front desk both owners were completely drunk, with is not acceptable. If you want peaceful weekend stay away from this place
We went there to hold every rally with our camping society, the owners were outstanding helping everyone of the year rally members including sitting with us by the campfire. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground was clean And neatly manicured it is a lot of fun to go across the…

Camped here on a Thursday night in late September. Only found one designated campsite, which was available, but there’s a lot of good space for dispersed camping right nearby. Access at the end of a long, but well maintained, dirt road. Campsite consists of a fire pit and picnic table. Some litter,…

This was my first time at Mongaup Pond and we loved it. The place was all booked and we got lucky with a cancellation at a premium site on the lake. It is such a beautiful place and so nicely done. The sites are not on top of each other and mostly separated with some kind of brush or bushes. Lots…

Our site was massive (39) and and direct access to Russell Brook. Couldn’t keep my son out of the water. Very peaceful. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Very clean. Definitely will be going back.
Just returned from our 5th stay at Mongaup Pond Campground. We love this place and are already looking forward to the next trip. This is a simple spot with very little amenities. They sell wood (except this season due to Covid), rent boats/kayaks and that’s about it. One small beach. Very chill…

I did a 2 night tent camping trip during the week. The check in process was simple and quick, the rangers working were super friendly and helpful. The site I was on backed up to the water. It was beautiful and so easy to launch the kayak right from my site. It was also pretty spacious but it…
