Great camping beautiful and quiet
I’ll start by saying Swan Bay is a busy, family-oriented campground. We arrived on a weekend and it was pretty busy but loved it during the week when everybody left and things were quieter. Our site (#38) was a Passport America site so we got a great nightly rate of $42 which is half of the regular…

This campground is small but quiet and right on the water. They sell firewood right up the road or you can just visit the Amish for wood scraps. Favorite thing is the family of owls that inhabit the trees that you see every night.
One of our favorite campgrounds in the ADK. Peaceful, every spot has a great view. Fairly central to all of the big tourist areas, will be making this trip at least once a year.

This lake is so peaceful and the remote islands that are only accessible by boat make this spot really special. It's a gorgeous place to get away from everything and to really connect to nature. The sites are spacious and gorgeous. Feels pretty private.
Beautiful and roomy site at 19. Unfortunately it was too cold and stormy for us to get our boats out on the water but we are looking forward to getting back here for the easy water access! Bathrooms are clean. There’s a beautiful accessible site at this campground and also a nice pavilion if you…

Most of the campsites at Fish Creek Pond are along the waterfront, offering easy access to the pond. Some campers even build temporary docks that they leave behind for subsequent campers. Most of these sites are huge and provide areas that are relatively flat, even if some parts slope toward the…

We try to make an annual trip here in late September, after the throngs of summer crowds have left. The sites are varied as to size and desirability, not all are level for trailers and rv’s, so do some research ahead of time to find the spot that is perfect for you. We enjoy kayaking, and there is…

Soft Maple is a truly gorgeous small campground. Only about a dozen sites or so, first come first serve. Level sites for RVs or tent or hammock camping. Each site has a nice space with fire ring and picnic table. The beach is lovely and clean. There’s boat access for canoes and kayaks as this is…

Saw a sign in the parking lot at the Trading Post at Fish Creek Pond. The office is hidden behind the Trading Post - go all the way to the back, past the gate, around the corner. This is an established campground that has a lot of returning campers, so they don't advertise, don't have a website or…
My family has been camping at Rollins Pond for years. With the coronavirus concerns, they have made changes to their cleaning schedules and social distancing rules. While there this year, my site was right across from one of the bathrooms. They were there at least twice a day to clean them and…
Quiet, clean park. To get to this campground you enter Fish creek park campground. Sites are large, wooded, most on the water. I stayed in the “a” section which is the southern side. Very quiet. No cell service. Saw many dogs. Mine loved our own little beach at the back of our campsite. Perfect…

Bring your boats! There are a few tent sites where you can launch your boat. I want to live here I love it so much.
I'm a bit partial to this campground, having spent a week there almost every summer since I was 9 (now 34). Great access to the lake, large camp sites, clean rest rooms and showers. They sell ice at the desk. Cell phone service is spotty.
