About Miss Franny's Farm

Historic farm campsite in the rolling hills of Cortland County, NY. 20 ft round Stout Bell Tent on a hill behind our barn, overlooking fields, forest, Virgil Creek and wetlands. Abundant with wildlife and migratory birds, there are 125 acres to explore. This farm is under a conservation easement with the Finger Lakes Land Trust due to it's agricultural history and natural beauty. With the covid19 issue, all bedding Will be hot washed and tent material will be sprayed with disinfectant between bookings. All furniture all coolers will be disinfected as well. A call will bring me a safe social distance away to demonstrate tightening guylines and showing water access etc with gloved hands. We have a large and varied property to breathe in, stretch out, and explore. This is a working farm on 125 acres, half of which is left wild as wetland for bird migration, and forest. We have horses and other friendly livestock, but ask that you not enter their pastures without permission or a farm tour. Some fencing is electrified, and children NEVER can be unattended without adult supervision. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control for both their safety and safety of my livestock. Amenities include: Water access, beds, solar shower, outdoor toilet, electric, outdoor grill and campfire, coolers, linens, extra backpacking tent all provided. The Finger Lakes Trail is located a quarter mile down our road, and the gorges and waterfalls a 18 mile drive away. Numerous state parks within 8 miles. If our 125 acres doesn't suit your hiking/biking wanderlust this area has plenty of wildnerness to explore a walk, bike, or short drive away. Bring clothing, food, ice and a camera, we provide everything else!
