About This Campground

Backwoods, beer, and baseball. Our campsite sits on top of the mountain of a 60-acre horse rescue farm. Our campsite has views that will take your breath away. The baseball museum, Ommegang Brewery, Fly Creek Cider Mill, a distillery and a few wineries are just 6 miles away! These are just some of the many things that Cooperstown has to offer.

Kayak, run, sleep, eat and explore shale caves on our mountain campsite. Go back to nature while still near civilization. The sunset view of the valley is amazing. Wild apple trees are prevalent throughout the property, beckoning the deer to eat what they drop. There are six shale caves that range from very shallow places to spaces that will let you lay down for a nap. Horses beckon you from the pastures to give them carrots and scratches. Spend an afternoon learning how to run a horse farm, if you have the desire. Trails, riding, and hiking run across the mountain. Want to ride a horse? We can do that too!

Enjoy a campfire at night and let the peepers put you to sleep, And joyously, the birds will sing you awake under the canopy of the forest. Please do feed the horses carrots, please don’t feed the bears..... please DO hike our mountain, and please DON’T stay away! We want you to come back again!!!

Want to fish? Go to the world class opera? Sail locally? We can help with all of it.
