Slice of heaven

Always a family favorite. No phones (a short ten minute drive if you need it), just fishing and family fun. Large property, fun to walk, hike and the Chama river is beautiful with fishing on the property or a short walk to quality waters.

Great Spot with Bathrooms

This was a great spot right along the river with bathrooms only about 20 mins/8 miles from the Hwy. This spot has a lot of potential to make it however you want, had we of had more time we would’ve gone further up the river because I think there were better spots along the river about a mile up but…

quiet and simple to find

Overall, this is a good spot to camp. It was simple to find, there was plenty of space for dispersed camping, and was a quiet place.

Great place

$10 for non-electric sites. $14 for electric sites. Sites are well spaced apart. Not very busy, even in the month of August. Showers, etc. Would definitely come again.

Santa Fe BLM

This is dispersed camping with mostly RVs, some vans, and a few tents and teepees. There are no hookups but near the entrance there is a building with two enclosed bathrooms. There is no trash collection so you must carry out everything you bring in. This is great free camping or just free…

Cross Country w/ A Uhaul

I was towing a Uhaul cross country so needed some place close-ish to the free way and with an easily accessible road: this location had both. I used the google maps directions and they said to head north on foot, instead I drove straight along the dirt road and found the disbursed sites. There were…

Undiscovered gem in New Mexico

There are a lot of spots to disperse in this campground but there are a few certain spots that blow the rest of them out of the water. We arrived on a Friday with only a few people there. Saturday/Sunday was maybe at half capacity. Pretty sure that were we the only ones there when we left on…

Weekend across NM

I really like the subtle Ed’s of the campground. While driving in it doesn’t look like much, but it’s quite large once you pull in. Although there is some amount of traffic noise, it get quieter as you move deeper into the campgrounds.

The amazing canyon view is jaw dropping, however that…

Cool weather tall trees

At first we were unsure our 28 foot rig would work out, but it did. This is a pretty, very natural campground where you are amongst and amidst the trees. Jemez Falls is a relatively short hike from the campground, or you can unhook and drive to the parking lot at the trailhead.

Total experience

At first you think oh no, it’s just a parking lot. You pull into your periphery space because you did reserve, and as you set up, you realize that all in front of your door there is open space. Trees, wild flowers. Maybe the stream.

The other campers come here as often as they can. They have…

Juniper Campground

Campground is clean and now has bear vaults at each site. The bathrooms were clean and are not lit at night. Find your flashlight. There are no showers. There is a mix of sites with some having more shade and privacy than others. A nice place to camp.

Accessible with some trash

Easy access to Highway 4 does mean car noise present, but only saw 1 other group of people while camping on a Wednesday night. Significant amount of scattered glass present in pretty much every campsite and in the fire pits with some scattered trash.

Great Camping Near Santa Fe

Views here are stunning. Campground has both electric and water hookups. Bathrooms and showers are spotless. Really enjoyed a one night stay on our way from Santa Fe to Albaquerque.
