Hidden gem

This campsite is hidden just below the bathroom on the West end of the big parking lot. Most campers pitch tent in the wooded area in the center of the parking lot - this is off the west end of the parking lot. Wonderful trails and you get to camp right in the middle of an aspen grove.

Adult only great location

Great location with immaculate grounds. Staff are friendly and other than a little road noise very peaceful.

Well kept, friendly

Well kept, neighbors were friendly, and the sound of the river was soothing. Camping spaces weren't packed together but not so far apart to be considered private. I'd happily come here again :)

Nice Campground with some age

I did enjoy staying in this Campground on the North end. Nice picnic tables with protection, water at each site, trash cans nearby, and vault toilets. The parking could be refreshed but the scenery is excellent. I would have preferred site 38N

Convenient to historic Santa Fe

This park had more airstreams than I have ever seen in one park. It was fun to be a part of the airstream community! The park is clean and our site was very level with convenient and very clean hook-ups. Our site was gravel and directly across from the registration building. I thought it would…

Fine for a one night stay

We tent camped and the spaces are well maintained and include a little fire pit, picnic table, place for your car, and fairly flat space for the tent. It’s easy to get to from the highway, but that’s also the downside because you can hear all of the traffic. The bathrooms were clean and have a code…

A nicer KOA

4/5/2021 Right off the highway. One of the nicer KOA's we have stayed at in the Southwest. True, the sites are close together which is typical at KOA's but this campground had lots of established trees which was nice (meaning shade). Many pull through sites. Full hookups. One of the unique things…

Kozy, Clean and Accommodating

We were hit by a blizzard driving through the I-25 pass from Santa Fe to Denver and had to take refuge in the KOA Las Vegas, NM for 2 nights. They quickly got us a space and allowed us to wait out the snow. Clean restrooms and showers, a shop in the grounds that serves breakfast. Hikes nearby. Very…

Not open until March. Save the trip.

We decided to rent a van and take a 10 day trip and just keep hitting dead ends but that makes half the adventure doesnt it?? A cold front came thru and we wanted a campsite last minute with electric to run our space heater in the van, but this location was closed even though it came up on the list…

Lovely state park, but near hwy

Well maintained with picnic tables and metal grill in standard state and national park style. Near well traveled mountain road.

Small spaces and steep drive up

A family trip with the RV and although we did enjoy our stay for the most part, there was a lot left to be desired. The larger RV spots we had to get were right next to the road and right next to other campers. The drive up is steep and our RV had a hard time; would not even think of staying up…

On the way to Ski Santa Fe

Beautiful spot for fall camping since the leaves are changing colors and temperatures are cooler. In winter, this area receives snow and can be difficult to get to without a reliable, 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Tent sites have covered awnings and fire pits when open flame is allowed. There are two…

Overpriced and Cramped

We were very disappointed and only stayed one night. Campsites were cramped to the point that our neighbor’s picnic table was approximately 3 feet from ours. The website stated that they were only operating at 50% capacity. Probably not the best choice if you are trying to social distance during…
