Nice stay

We had a nice stay at Korns. It was early in the season. They only had one woman working and she was unavailable the whole time lol. Site was a little trashy other than that we had a great time. Site 90 was real nice. Fairly secluded and Surrounded by a stream. Electrical and water on every site…

Solid 4 stars

Good campground. Good hiking, clean, close facilities and well maintained. Lake is great and only a short walk, but no swimming. Sites are open and fairly close would be only negative.

Family-friendly with lots of activities

It would be very difficult to be bored at Driftstone-- games, activities, swimming, boating, plenty of open field for the kids. It is a very family-friendly campground where the staff and other campers are very personable. A group of us stayed in the back,"west" area. The sites were large and…

Beautiful and relaxing water sites

Stayed here 2 nights in May, Friday-Sunday. There were a decent amount of people on Friday, but significantly more on Saturday. Park employees and park police drive around through the day. Some big groups of campers got a little rowdy at night. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I thought…

Great place for an adventure

A few of us rode in to the steam mills campsite on motorcycles and took a couple days to enjoy the mountain air and views.

Cold, but pretty great!

My first time staying at Stokes Stat Forest, December 2020. Chose this campsite based on the photos online, the river right there was a big deal. I knew it would be cold and planned accordingly. The days were a good temperature for hiking, the nights were chilly. Once the fire died down, I snuggled…

Nice, easy getaway

This place is only an hour away from NYC with so much to do and see. These cabins are VERY rustic, four walls, a cot, and a fridge. You still feel like you are "roughing it" but with the convenience of a fridge. Absolutely zero phone service (for T-Mobile) which was AMAZING. There's a few very cute…

  • fire pit and picnic table at our cabin site. we were also able to park right next to our cabin (A-12)
  • easy parking right next to cabin
  • foggy night time!

Deceptive photography on reservation website

This was my second time camping at High Point State Park, Sawmill Area, October 2020. I chose this campsite, 031, based on the photos on the reservation website and boy was I disappointed. We wanted to setup our large tent on the **flat** gravel driveway and our hammocks and relaxation area on…

Nice Secluded Campsites

My first time camping at High Point State Park, Sawmill Area, September 2019. I chose a campsite close to the restrooms and water spigot. It turned out to be very secluded, minus the foot traffic to the restroom at all hours. The campsite is mostly gravel so the platform is necessary. There are no…

Good State Park Campground

My first trip to this campground was September 2020. We wanted to get out of the house, but stay clear of other campers during the pandemic. This campsite, CS52, was in the woods and we were able to get the illusion of privacy by parking the cars along the road as a makeshift wall and pitching our…

Good Campground Near Other Interests

This was my second time camping at Swartswood State Park. I got one of the last available campsites and it was okay, but not one I would have normally chosen. This campsite was in the open grass area and not very private, but that was okay for this trip as I spent the days hiking around lakes and…

Awesome Location

My partner and I hit this campground up during the era of Covid and it was a cool place to stay. The location was on POINT!! Definitely a beautiful place to stroll along and enjoy the wilderness. The downside though was how loud it got at night with parties and music. I never wanna dampen a good…

I'm a happy camper!

Just give me a parking spot and some privacy and I'm good. Cheesequake has just enough space between sites and the foliage gives you the personal space you need. Facilities are fair for what the cost is, the alternative is a $160 hotel room. By the way... Rained the whole time we we're there and…
