The only things you will see from your site will be trees, wildlife and the river. Now that Autumn is approaching here in New Hampshire the days are shortening and nights are growing cooler. The river is also cooling down and due to this summer's drought and the cooler temps we're seeing very few annoying insects. So come hide away among the trees on a beautiful stream. Souhegan Serenade is dog friendly so your best friend is welcome to join you in exploring our quarter of a mile of river frontage on 21 acres only an hour from Boston. Columbus Day weekend is traditionally the peak of our gorgeous foliage season here but this year we're expecting it earlier due to the drought. With the woodstove to take the chill from the tent and the expected fall rains to bring the river back up, a foliage cruise down the river is a truly memorable experience. September Update: A camper alerted us that the lower water level revealed several discarded car tires on the river bed which we were able to remove. Recent rains are starting to bring the river level up so if you bring your watercraft you can enjoy a cruise down the river and view the waterfowl and maybe catch a glimpse of beaver or otter. Deer have been spotted right from the campsite as well as during float trips. So why not come take a break and get away to beautiful New Hampshire. Should you experience inclement weather, activities are within easy reach and the interstate is less than 10 minutes away. We also offer our guests a guide to camping at Souhegan Serenade that covers descriptions of float trips on the river as well as other local points of interest. So after you book, be sure to check back for our message so you can get our email address and request the guide. Come enjoy our slice of New Hampshire's gorgeous outdoors. By the way, we have one weekend left in September and the first two in October are open. This site is absolutely gorgeous when the foliage shows its glory.
