Awesome Kayaking
This was a really good spot, bathrooms were in good condition and my campsite was decently secluded. There are a few spots where you can launch a kayak and the lakes connecting rivers/streams are very cool and jungly.
Never Fails to be Great
Stayed once again on the shores of the river, in peaceful seclusion. Namanock has never provided me a bad stay, regardless of storms, cold, hot, or what not, the campsite is always eager to provide you with a great night. It is almost always spotless, rarely will you even have to cross paths with other humans while staying here.
The 2021 season has brought a few minor, but very important changes to the island. There are now only 3 approved sites on the entire island, eliminating 3 or 4 smaller sites that are regularly used by the public. This will aid in the island not being ravished by man constantly for resources and allow vital flora to thrive and keep our camp the beautiful place it is for years to come.
Otherwise, be sure to browse some of our other reviews of this site, the information included in them still pertains today, Primitive, secluded, amazing camping in the wilds of the Delaware River, Stunning waterfalls and local wildlife surround you with too many local points of interest to even try to list them all.

Couldn’t be better!
First real hot day of the season. Did a solo trip ,Paid 20 for day and overnight parking at Milford beach. Paddle about 4 miles to the site 12, the first site on the right side of nomanock island.
The site was super clean and well maintained!
I saw 2 other campers at 13, pretty well distance between sites. I was a bit nervous about collecting fire wood being the place was so clean but collected enough. Definitely would stop at one of the many places along the way to buy fire wood.
Lots of peace and natural all around. Saw tons of bald eagles flying near the site and while paddles birds playing and baby geese with their mommas!
Tried to find, sites 1- 11 but no luck
Very buggy spot, LOTS of centipedes and other creatures at night, so bring a chair instead of sitting on the bench or log.
I also thought it would a good idea to paddle down stream and back up to Milford beach, Boy was I wrong! Took about 4.5 hours to paddle 3 miles then had to wave down a boat to tow me the rest of the mile. Was not fun!!!!
