Easily Accessible Camping in Glacier

Lake Mcdonald is absolutely gorgeous! Camping along its edges is something you don't want to pass up. This campsite is also super close to all amenities. From June-September this campsite will be super busy. But if you go in the offseason it is wonderful. Just come prepared for winter camping (even in May).

My husband and I often camp there in April, and we will be the only ones there. We take our snowshoes to go exploring the higher elevations.

Unprecedentedly Beautiful

One of the best camping all day Sites you can find but it’s limited! Theres only about 5 spots on the lake and it’s in Tribal area so if you hike or backpack in there you need to be permitted. You can drive your car right up to the lake and either car or tent camp! Paddle boarding is pretty common at this lake especially when it’s hot out. The drive from Missoula takes about 20-30 minutes and well worth it.
