6 campsites in the canyon carved by Belt Creek in the Little Belt Mountains. Fishing for brook trout in the creek. The Belt Creek Information Center is just to the north of the campground, and trails to the east of the visitor center connect to an extensive trail system.

Aspen Campground

This is a really small campground squeezed between the road and the river. The beauty of the river did not add enough to the appeal of this place for us. Sites are filling up though. Sites have decent room with taller grass around. One vault toilet is shared with camp. 

We didn’t get a comfortable vibe here. Maybe it’s the busy road or small space or a long day of traveling. This was one of the only options as other campgrounds filled up quickly for the weekend. 

There is ample fishing in a beautiful river. A few hiking trails are around that you can drive to. Big Timber is an easy 30ish mile drive away.

Small riverside campground 

This campsite is listed twice. Maybe someone added a new one and didn’t see this one. This one does have a good description of the campsite. 
Great campsite. The pictures should give a good idea of the area and the great campground. As well as rules and costs. The river is across the highway. 

Listed twice 

This campground was close to Memorial Falls which we wanted to hike the next day. The setting is wooded and right off scenic Highway 89. The fee for our site #6 was $5 plus $5 for extra vehicle. We were able to fit a small SUV and our pop up truck camper. There were only 6 sites here and we were the only ones here in midweek in late September 2020. There was a clean vault toilet, picnic table and barbecue stand. Simple basic campground near activities. 

Close to Memorial Falls

Nice little campground, only 6 sites and vault toilet. There is a water spigot available as well. The sites are pretty level and spacious. It is right next to the highway so it can have bad highway noise. But really close to lots of nice hikes and fishing holes. I did not get cell phone service with Verizon. Pretty close to Memorial Falls which is a really nice hike. 

Small but nice 

Aspen campground is a nice 6 site campground sitting among pine and aspen trees.  The campground has one vault toilet and water is available.  Was surprised to find no one else camping here on a weekend.  Sites have plenty of room and each has a metal fire ring, BBQ grill and picnic table.  The only bad thing about this campground is that it sits right along U.S. highway 89.

Nice small campground, but next to highway

Only six spots right off the road. We stayed on site #5, which I believe is the most spacious. Being right off the road is not an issue, there's not much traffic to hear.  A creek is on the other side of the road which is relaxing to hear all night. The one out house is nice and clean. No bear boxes so put food in vehicles.
