Clean sites, good bath houses and restrooms, easy hiking trails for kids.
Booked online, pictures were a little deceiving for double campsite. Unless you are a family camping together I would avoid. Park attendant very helpful moved us to site 61. We absolutely loved it. Electric hookup, great site for our pop up. View of the lake and easy access to the boat ramp and…

This review should have gone under Berry Bend Campground. If fishing boating of all types is your thing this is it. This. Is a very large campground very well maintained. Showers flush toilets and pit.

The camp grounds in our are were well maintained. Even on the trail where a tree fell on it was cleared off the trail.

Really pretty place. Campground wasn’t too crowded. Parking spots at each site. Bathhouse was very clean. Would come back.
The distance from the hiway is a big plus! This is a beautiful State Park. Serene, in April. The birds and frogs are amazing!!!! Site is paved, needed just slight levelling. We will return, love it!
We camped the last weekend in September picking a late reservation where kayaks were available for our first tent test run were our main goals, which the site met. Kayaking was wildly available, due to the small lake and difficult launch, we can see why, but still very enjoyable. Site was very…

Entrance to the park is not far off the road, but its 2 miles into the campground as you pass the swimming hole and rentals. We stayed 2 nights on a basic (no hook-ups) unlevel site with our 40' ft diesel. Now I say unlevel, if you dont have leveling Jack's and some boards you might be tipsy. We…

Well what can I say. I had high hopes for this one. Only offers basic and electric sites in small camping are. One shower house that was ok. Very loud and not a family place to camp. Great dirt bike trails and sever lakes. You can kayak and fish. I wouldn’t recommend swimming even at the…

Very clean and nice campground. Steps from the lake. Staff was friendly.
This is a great family campground!!! It’s not nearly as busy as the state park which is awesome!!
The campground was average, as were the amenities- but the activities offered were enjoyable (kayak rentals, walking trails- these were shared with dirt bikes, horses, etc.) The lake water was fine for kayaking but we definitely did not want to swim in it. The Park Ranger was unfriendly, and we…
Very nice campground. Electric hook ups only, no water, no sewers (and we are good with that) Lots of shade. Most spots seem level. The handicapped spots are paved!!! Very quiet. The only drawback is the bathhouse. Needs a good scrub and a working exhaust fan.
I have two dogs. They are friendly, but get rather rambunctious when they see other dogs. I prefer sites that I can keep them tucked away.
On the electric sites - sites 1-10 are in an area with lots of trees and shade, while sites 11-17 are more open, but still have a few trees for shade.

Nice spacious spots, lake views, friendly campers. Great Hosts! Clean and well maintained. Our favorite spot for camping at Truman Lake. Close to boat launch. Great fishing, lake is accessible from many sites.
