Growing up near here, this was the state park that my family always went to. Forty some years later, it is still my favorite park in Missouri. I enjoy camping here with my family and friends. We also bring our Cub Scout pack here to camp. This park also has some history with my family. If you drive or camp in the main loop, you will notice several Cottonwood trees. Those trees were planted by the CCC in the 1930's. My grandpa and my older uncles helped to plant the trees. It's a special place for me.
