Located on the North Country Trail. Decent hike to campsite. Biggest negative is there is no parking lot. Must park on road. Campsite was well taken care of. The site is smaller. It does over look a tiny little lake with bird life. Water is mucky looking, I wouldn’t swim in it. Trail goes through…

Sites are close together compared to some other Minnesota state parks. Lots of trees. Bathroom is older but decent. Hiking trails ok nothing special.
Nice quiet little campground
Busy place in the heart of town. Lake, splash pad, park all right there
This is a full-time camping area and if you want to pull in and camp you can do so for a very expensive price and it is not much sites are 10 to 14 ft apart
Camp Sites were open early (March), if not year round. Other campgrounds don’t open until mid-April. Easy access to both single track and to paved cycling path. Sites are close but still felt private, especially when leaves fill in. Nice shower house, and a sauna we didn’t use.

The spot is right on the ATV trail into the foothills and spider and you can get up to Walker and other places and clear over to Land O'Lakes trails if you'd like

Beautiful quiet riverside campground
If you like quiet/off the beaten path sites, this one is awesome. Walk in sites as well as drive in. Great (but small) swimming beach, large lake with great fishing available. No hook ups and no dump station. Sites are spaced far enough apart to give you some privacy.
We loved this campground and this area!
We have site 1 which was right on the lake. We were able to park the camper parallel to the lake which was amazing. Such a beautiful view!
The owners and staff were great. They have a small market and a game room. The resort was clean and well…
This hidden gem is on the Mississippi water trail around mile 996. It is called "Overlook Park" and owned/maintained by the city of Baxter, but is part of the DNR's state water trail. There is even signage for those on the river to inform them about their whereabouts on the trail when they pass…

Woah love this park! Has so many things to do.
Went on the hiking club trail around Annie Battle Lake, most of it is even paved for biking or groomed for skiing.
The yurt and watercraft sites are secluded and so awesome with great views, right on the lake, firewood and water back there…

I've stayed in both the cabins and the camping area. The cabins are my favorite because of the lake views, proximity to the bathhouse, and heat/AC units. Cabin #5 has the best unobstructed views of the lake. Cabins have WiFi. The campground is nice but only has a primitive toilet adjacent to the…
