Tranquility

This is a county park that is fairly new. Campground host was super nice and very accommodating. Some traffic noise during the day. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. The lake is down the road with public access for your boat.

My favorite county park anywhere

Just a beautiful campground. Lots of privacy, plenty of space. On a trail system that you can ride around the lake (3 miles) or all the way into Minneapolis if you’re adventurous. Fantastic beach.

Great spot!

We were visiting Paisley Park and camped here for the night. Just be sure you know what part of the county park system you are going to! Baylor is the only one with camping. Nice site with manicured lawn and great trials, including a boardwalk! Easy dump and fill.

All time favorite

The eagles soar as you swim in the sandy, shallow warm river stream. What more could you want?

Wonderful park, campground, and hosts

I admit the website where you reserve your campsite is wonky. Despite that, I give this campground 5 stars! Even before we arrived, the camp host called me to see if I wanted to pay my bill before we came so I didn't have to bother coming to the office.

When we arrived, someone had taken our…

Fun little park

This campground was on the small side with sites close together. They have a Buffalo drive trail to see the 30 Buffalo they have in the park. The Waterfalls are a short drive to the other side of the park. With great hiking trails down to the bottom of the falls.

Campground with falls

Nice campground close the cities. This was a large campground with 3 different loops. Loop 200 didn’t have a shower house, will need to use the one in 100 loop. For the size of the campground, it should have 2 dump stations and potable water fill ups. The hiking and falls were great. Good cell…

Small park

This was a smaller campground with only a few electric spots. The bison loop is a cool feature in the park. There was nice hiking trails. The down fall to this campground is the falls are not within walking distance from the campground. The cell phone coverage was good in the campground.

Small and Dusty

Campground was small and dusty, but they had a cool bison range you could drive through and a waterfall right up the street for a small fee of $7.

Great one night stop

Great place to stop and rest when traveling through the twin cities. Great price for full hookup.

Quiet and good ground

A friend and I used the bike in sites it was very nice, though finding trees for my hammock with in the designated sites was difficult.

Sites are a little too close.

Sites are so close to each other its like your camping with your neighbors. They are clean and typically quiet though so it's a great place to go.

Nice campground

Went camping for the first time, with 2 kids (8 and 4). Bathrooms were clean, there was a beach and playground nearby. Enough shopping nearby also to replenish groceries but feels woodsy. Nice nature area nearby as well.

Great camper cabins for spring and fall

Each cabin has four sleeping spots: 2 bunk beds, and the 2 couches convert to beds. There's a heater inside, but no AC, which makes these the most suitable during the spring and fall.

There is a fire ring outside of each cabin, along with a table. No cooking is allowed inside the cabins, which…

  • The cabins are close to each other, but they're quiet on the inside.
  • The trees make for beautiful scenery, and the back decks of all the cabins face the forest.
  • Fire ring -- there's a grill plate you can use to cook on. No cooking is allowed inside of the cabins.
