Visit this majestic destination state park along the North shore of MN! Gooseberry Falls is an incredible family friendly state park with tons of hiking and private feeling camping spots. You can hear Lake Superior from your campsite! The “yelling” sounds you hear in the morning are from the seagulls according to a local I asked. Bring your camera as you visit the falls. Come during the week to avoid the crowds and get visitor free pictures of the falls. You can walk right out in water on the rock formations. Waterproof shoes are a plus. My 13 year old son said it is the most beautiful place he has ever seen. The park staff are very friendly and there is a great gift shop at the nature center.
