Incredibly beautiful and secluded

We stumbled on this campground accidentally but I am sure happy that we did! What a beautiful place. We were there in the late fall, so I imagine it most likely gets busy in the summer seeing as half the sights have lake access. Although, for a beautiful fall weekend there was wasn’t more than 3…

Nice campground

Was a decent place to camp- lots are very close though! Luckily in the fall it wasn’t very busy. Nice little lake on property. Fire pits in odd spot near the road. No pets allowed-not even a cat that stays inside in your camper! Also- there is a $7 a day fee for out of the county. Even when you…

Quiet, wooded sites

Nice little county campground, under the canopy of trimmed pine trees. Lots were large, no issues with backing in our 36’ TT with 2 slides (make sure to clean your slides from the pine needles before you go). Fire pits were small And installed in ground, electrical was up to 30amp, and sites were…

Great Lake!

Very nice camp with an awesome lake and great swimming area! Kids love this park! Sometimes it gets busy. The shop has snacks and ice cream.

Peaceful, fishing and kayaking

Small but sweet campground. If given the choice get a site in the pine loops. It's more of a walk from the lake but the other loops have no shade and seem more crowded together. We had site #24 and it was fairly ideal and very roomy. There is the Pier- Marquette Rail trail about 1.5 miles from…

This is a really good family campground in the middle of Michigan. Campsites are spacious and wooded. There is a lake for swimming ability to fish and put in a kayak. Sites have electric with shared water. Campground registration is efficient and friendly. Wood can be purchased at the campground.…

Worth the Hike

You can access by boat or its a 1 mile hike. very peaceful, there is only 10 site and pit toliets.

Lots of nature, seen a lot of colorful fungas. we did 2 kayak trips while we stayed and was great to have landing so near sites.

I do recommend going by boat as the hike with gear will wear you…

Rustic but fun

Rustic feel as all sites are electric but no water hook up. There are spigots in the center as well as a dump station and potable water fill. My family has camped here for years as it is close to home. They sell fire wood and the bath houses are cleaned multiple times as day and the showers are…

Small but comfortable

We stayed there for a wedding that was taking place down the road. While it is mostly a seasonal campground we felt quite at home as there are many friendly faces. Only water and electric hook up but fairly big sites. Bath house and shower located up front with dump station as well. We will…

Great family friendly adventures happen here!

Great spaces, sites are usually pretty clean. There is plenty of fishing and exploring. Also amazing berry picking in the grow season. They do have outhouses and a decent beach.

  • Sunset over Trout lake from campsite!
  • Beautiful wooded areas all around!
  • Daytime view of the lake!

Fantastic Getaway!

This is a great family campground. There are Sites right on the river, kayak rentals, pool and hot tub, and a separate swimming hole with sandy beach and inflatable toys! It has a great playground for kids, volleyball court, basketball court and camp store! The people that work there were…
