Aptly Named!

Such a gem! Tiny municipal campground, but part of a much larger recreation area. Everything seems new or at least well maintained. Couldn’t believe this location hasn’t gotten more attention. See pics for the many amenities in this park!

Former pick a spot now it's jt's lakeside campground I think

We have a blast!!!!! Bring your boat or watercraft! Plenty of lakefront camping spots on the barbie chain of lakes. Several (deep, clean) lakes hooked together by channels. Also hook into that big bass or musky!! It's crowded, pretty quiet usually, no showers or running water bathroom facilities.…

Big Rig Friendly

The is a great place to stay. All concrete, gated, beach in a small lake, basketball court, fishing, pools, and lots of grass for the dogs. Laundry rooms and bathrooms spotless.

Nice park; but barely any beach

The campground itself is nice and clean with clean bathrooms and showers. Sites are close and does not provide a lot of privacy. More RVs than tents. Had some issues with some loud parties even after midnight, but hoping that was just that week. There was barely any beach left due to high water…

My Childhood are place

Ok, so I might be biased because this is where I spent my summers growing up. But I’ve never found another campground with such a great mix of secluded sites, but still opportunities to meet and party with fellow camper.

Endless hiking trails and two lakes where you can fish, swim, and boat.

If…

Beautiful Park, close to the Lake HZ

One night stop in this great state park. No thrills, just beautiful nature(forest, dunes, and lake)! No full hook, just electric. But water and dump onsite.

Did fine in a pinch!

We rolled in here after striking out at some other campgrounds we had on our list. The facilities were clean (Bathrooms and Showers) and seemed well taken care of. The campground was a bit crowded, and the sites were pretty close together. We walked around the whole campground a couple times and…

Great Summer/Fall long/short stay

The property owners are friendly and hardworking. Great fishing, amenities available. This is one of the first places I felt gave me a bang for my buck. Park near store and get great WiFi....I spent 14 days streaming, gaming and watching movies. This is campground is definitely a diamond in the…

Nice campground

This is your typical Michigan State campground, it’s an older campground so there’s lots of trees on most sites. We had site 111, it was level and well treed, it was also huge! We had our 5th wheel, 2 tents and 3 cars and still had plenty of room for more. Bathrooms were clean and the showers, even…

Family Friendly

Small campsites, outlet on site, clean bathrooms, great walking paths and short walk to the lake. Very family friendly with lots of kids.

Decent

We stayed here due to it’s proximity to a wedding that we were attending. Like every campground, your experience is good or bad depending on the site you get and the people who are camping nearby. We lucked out and got one of the more spacious sites (#63) with some privacy bushes/trees in between.…

  • Site 63, spacious Nd some privacy about a five minute walk to the bathroom

Close to the highway

Primitive sites are spacious, well spaced & reasonably flat. All sites are sandy with a raised fire ring, (no ground fires allowed). Walkable facilities are outhouses, although all campers may use the facilities in the RV grounds. Even if you don't need the power, etc I'd sugest the RV sites as…
