Adventure abound

The campground and facilities are a little run down. Lake was very weedy, they haven't had rain in quite a while so lake was not in great shape. Staff could be more friendly. The gypsy moth caterpillars were everywhere.

Cute place on the river

This campground is out of the way right on the river. Great place to fish. They are expanding and adding more spots as well. The have full hookup and WiFi. The pool sits looking right over the river. The also really awesome thing about this park is that it is year round. Year round parks are so…

Memorial weekend 2021

We had a beautiful site with a great view , one good neighbor one bad . The campground is out of control there was a large family that we were told when they show up they take over the campground and we were camped by the  the Mom and Dad of the family so everybody showed up for meals at there site…

Beach campground

I love camping right next to the beach. The have a good amount of showers they are all private. The only downfall for me is the sites are very very close together. Other than that, you are right by all the action. You can sit in the sand and watch boats come through the channel. You can lay out on…

Great stay

This is my 4th year at this campground. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They pick up your trash right from the front of your sight and deliver fire wood right to the fire pit. The pool and hot tub are always very clean. They have a lovely view here of the river. They have two bath houses…

Beautiful Sites

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We would come back, but will likely check other campgrounds in the area first.

Pro's:

  • The campsites are big! Our site was on the lake and we were able to position the camper to face the lake. Plenty of space to enjoy without feeling crowded.

Amazing area - Crowded campground

We stayed at the Lake Macatawa campground in August. The sites are small, the roads are tight, the crowd is pretty loud, and the bathrooms/showers are a bit insufficient for the campground size.

This average campground is saved by the fact that it is in an amazing location. Not far from…

Lovely campground

Absolutely lovely park! Spacing was generous between locations. We had a drive-in(forward) location(#10) overlooking the small lake. There was some interstate noise but it was more of a steady hum and not an issue at all. Other locations are further back- this is a very large RV park and spread out…

Golf Carts Galore

We had a great time at Hidden Ridge RV Resort. This is part of the Sun RV Resort group, which is a national chain. It’s a little pricier than other camp grounds but you get what you pay for. All sites are good size sites with a cement pad and very green grass. It is also very well run and…

LOVED IT!

This was our first trip on this side of the lake and we absolutely loved it! We stayed at the State Park campground. We we're on the pier side and it was amazing watching the water toys and people watch. Very close walk to town and the fountain water light show, nice bike path and clean bathrooms.…

Relaxed

If you avoid the electric forest crowd there are plenty of available spots. We were able to camp right on the lake with room between neighbors for privacy. My favorite feature is a wooden playground with equipment large enough for adults. At night, trails and playground are illuminated with string…
