I spent two nights in Fort Wilkins during August of 2016. The weather was beautiful, not too hot during the day, cool for sleeping at night. There is a plethora of things to do in the area, I highly recommend a visit to the Fort in addition to heading out on Lake Fanny Hoe in a kayak or canoe. The bathhouse was small, but the showers were indoors instead of the usual outside entrance. They also provide free wifi from the bathhouses. The park staff were all wonderful, including the actors at the Fort. I loved it so much I'm coming back again this summer!
