Idyllic landscape located just minutes from the beautiful Montague Bookmill… This gorgeous campsite is located right on the Connecticut River and is just minutes to the Montague Bookmill. Stop in at the bookmill to browse an eclectic and deep collection of texts, have a bite and cocktail on the patio of the upscale Alvah Stone restaurant, or grab a quick sandwich and beer at the Lady Killigrew while the Sawmill River rushes by beneath you. Venture a little further to the center of town and walk down to the Montague meadows, where you'll find a gorgeously refreshing swimming hole for a mid-summer treat. Our land is located right on the Franklin County Bikeway, and provides a wonderful departure point for this scenic bike trail. If you're an avid rock-climber, there's a brief hike to a great boulder outcropping nearby, and we're located just a 15-min drive away from Farley ledges, which provides you the option of lead climbing as well. Or, just relax at during your camping trip here on the land! Please note there is a honeybee apiary present on the property. The fence surrounding the apiary is electrified!
Be wary of poison ivy and poison oak when walking in the woods and moving to and from your campsite. It has been spotted in the past!
PETS ARE WELCOME BUT MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES!
The wood-stove inside of the tent has been removed due to recurring leaks inside of the tent. There is still a campfire site close-by!
Also, there is a cargo train that runs intermittently about a half mile away from the site!
Please note: You are visiting a working farm, so there is likely to be people working on-site during your stay. We will not bother you, and cannot see your tent, but you will see people out and about while you're coming and going.
