I booked a tent site as my first introduction to the park. Setting up a reservation was incredibly user friendly, park staff was fantastic at getting us checked in, and the camp store was well stocked and priced.
Our site, however, left something to be desired. The sites were all very close…

Sites are mostly all dog friendly, which is wonderful! Great hiking trails. The park provides wood and ice as well! We will definitely be back!

It was good
My family had a great time here. The camp sites are spaced out a good amount so each site has good privacy. There are multiple port a potties here but some sites are a bit far from them. Each site has a fire pit, a grill, and two tables with a decent amount of space for tents. I would highly…
We stayed here for about a week, it was inexpensive and close to all of the places we wanted to visit without being right in the middle of a tourist hotspot. The pool was nice, so was the store and the rec room. Staff was friendly and everyone was super quiet and respectful. The only downside was…
Martinak was a beautiful surprise. Lots of woods, leveled sites, clean facilities, no rowdy crowds. We had a great time. The park is pet friendly. The ranger was very vigilant and friendly. We met new friends and even attended a concert at their pavilion 🥰

This was nice because you could see the water from the site.
It was a short jaunt to toilets/showers/potable water and everything was surprisingly clean.
Nearby was a beach that was small but cute and a cool lighthouse you could go up.
There is a camp store that had all the basics and ice and…

We love going every summer with our family and friends for a lot of Waterpark fun!

I went with a friend for two nights, and we camped and had a blast. (It rained for one of the days and it was pretty thick tree cover - so it wasn't too bad.) Hiked around the lighthouse, climbed on the rocks, tried crabbing (and failed) and went kayaking around the campground in the bay.
Part of Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Pretty remote. Rained while we where there and the ground was very saturate so the puddles where quite large.
The G loop for tents is nice and removed from the rv area, though the sites are a little close. There are trails nearby and you can cross the bridge to the canoe/kayak rental area, or launch your own from a dock at the campsite. We had a peaceful night and a fun kayak day!
Of note, there were a…
We decided to stay a weekend at Susquehanna based on the reviews on the Dyrt and it’s closer proximity to home. We arrived and were greeted by super friendly rangers who gave us the lay of the land. We found the rangers to be very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, plants, and trees in…
Perfect for families! The pool was kinda small for the amount of campsites. Splash pad was nice, I enjoyed that more so than the pool. I stayed at site 66 in my rooftop tent and loved the proximity to the amenties. My only complaint was a horrible smell throughout the campgrounds. It was like a…

Had to change spots a few times which was a pain but spot we ended up with was quite spacious. Kids loved the splash pad.
Loved this place…..you’d never know you were in the “city”. So Much for the kids to do and shuttles to DC. Definitely going back!
