From my limited camping experience, this is a great site! There are 5 sites that are first come, first serve across from a day use area. A short drive away from DC and it couldn't be easier to get to: park in a lot and walk about 500ft down to the campgrounds.
About 4 sites are in use during my…

I wanted to add to my original review I absolutely love this campground I live in Baltimore so it’s only an hour and 10 minutes for me I am planning my third trip next month. This video shows the Shenandoah River and the campground enjoy
Had a great stay overnight on our way north from Virginia.
Took my nephews on their first camp out. Perfect place for introduction.
Had a great weekend trip here, close to DC and Delaware. Wonderful hiking trails with river views. Only caveat- got pretty muddy since it rained the day before and our site didn’t have a tent pad. Firewood and minimal supplies available at the check in.
It’s a small walk to the tent only sites right off the C & O Canal which is heavily used by bikes and walkers. It sets down from the canal trail while the portapotty is right on the trail. The sites have breathing room and it’s on the Potomac River but it feels really odd to camp with so much…
My husband and I have stayed at Elk Neck twice. It’s a great campground with lots of different loops to choose sites from. The bath houses are very clean, and the folks responsible for their upkeep are great. There are sinks for washing dishes outside the bathhouses, making cooking cleanup very…
We had spot #10 booked from Thursday through Sunday. Unfortunately we arrived Friday evening around dinner time and lost a whole day of our long weekend due to RV issues along the way there, but ended up having a really nice weekend despite the ugly start to it. Nice secure park and really love…
This was my second time to Brunswick Family Campground within two weeks. This campground is so quaint and carefree you almost forget the outside world. The Shanandoah is just as beautiful. The showers could use a good cleaning but they are typical Campground showers perfect for the campground life.…

We stayed here four nights with lots of exploring and activities. The campground is beautiful and well-maintained. There’s a disc golf course that is easy and fun to follow. Also, a water park with a charge of $4 if you are a registered camper. Lots of trails and areas to bike. We stayed at spot…
Quiet and clean always been this way since 1980 for us. Larger sites and quiet areas near the beach,
The campground is pretty big and you can find any spot you are looking for. There are great trails I the area along the river and in the woods.
Lots of activities available. We were in a secluded spot. Wifi and cable were poor on the weekend. Large campground with some good trails.
Will definitely return!
I stayed here for two nights with a friend, and it was serene and beautiful. There were nice, easy hikes in or near the campsite, and the location about halfway between Philadelphia and Washington, DC, was perfect.
We took out 1st trip to Tuckahoe over the 4th of July weekend. We really liked the park, but beware, the sites can be small! I watched people with 25+ footers struggle to back into the sites. We booked site 21, blind. The web site does not say site 21 is extremely small. We have a 25' camper, and…
