Drummer Boy Camping Resort

Need wide-open space to unwind while enjoying some locally crafted wine and beer? We've got you! Our farm has 30 private acres of open fields, rolling terrain, wooded areas, and a running stream for wading and exploring. We are a scenic and easy 10 min drive from I-70 New Market, MD. Hang out with family and friends at your private campsite or enjoy music and libations at one of the many local wineries/breweries- most have weekend music festivals and food trucks during spring, summer, and fall months. Located in walking distance(1 mile) to Linganore Winery and Red Shedman Brewery, we are centrally located to eight other wineries and breweries that are an easy ten minute drive through scenic Frederick County farmland. Hiking more your thing? The Appalachian Trail is a mere 30 min drive and the historic C&O Canal(great for biking, jogging, hiking, and horseback riding) is a 30 min drive as well. Kayaking, tubing, rafting, and horseback riding are available in historic Harper's Ferry(35 mins) too. While there, you can check out the local shops, the C&O canal, hiking trails, and a self-guided tour of John Brown's Raid. There are plenty of local creameries(working dairy farms selling homemade ice cream, cheeses, and more) and farmer's markets for fresh farm to table fruits, veggies, and meats. Fine dining, history, and quaint antique stores more your thing? We've got you there too! Historic Mount Airy(10 mins) has lots of specialty shops and some farm to table restaurants, New Market(10 mins) has a plethora of quaint antiques stores, and Frederick(20 mins) has lots and lots of speciality shops and farm to table restaurants. ## Overview

Owens Creek Campground offers families and individuals enjoyable primitive tent camping. Located just five miles from Thurmont, Maryland, in the rolling hills of Catoctin Mountain Park. 

## Recreation

As a primitive camping area, Owens Creek encourages visitors to use healthy doses of imagination while surrounded by the natural landscape. Nature hikes and campfire circles are popular activities. The Deerfield Nature Trail connects directly to the campground and is a 1.5 mile loop with a connection to the park's western system of trails. Browns Farm Trail is nearby in the Owens Creek Picnic Area and offers budding archeologists with a peek into the history of the area. This trail is also a youth friendly 'Track Trail'. For more information go to: www.kidsinparks.com. Catoctin Mountain Park boasts 25 miles of trails. 

## Facilities

This campground contains 50 single campsites with a limit of five people, or immediate family, per site. There are no-hookups. Maximum 22' trailer length and RVs up to 30'. There are three pull through sites, #12, #39 and #43.   
  
Flush toilets, showers and drinking water are available and centrally located in the campground. All sites are equipped with a tent pad, picnic tables, and fire ring. All tents must fit on the tent pads. Firewood is available.

## Natural Features

The campground is surrounded by a rolling landscape, perfect for hikes of any level from easy to extremely strenuous. Owens Creek flows past the campground providing a peaceful setting beside a bubbling brook. Whether blanketed in snow in winter months, brilliant with color in the fall or blooming with wildflowers in the spring, Owens Creek offers beautiful scenery all year.

Owens Creek Campground

Round Top Campground is a spacious Pennsylvania family vacation oriented campground located just off the Route 134 Exit from Route 15 which "has it all" on 52 acres. Our destination resort amenities include a swimming pool, shuffleboard courts, outdoor pavilion, game room, playground, basketball court, horseshoes, volleyball, main office and store, dump station, laundry, showers and organized activities. Round Top Campground is perfect for an overnight or extended stay as well as for family camping on a SEASONAL basis. We have sites that include full hook-ups, and our new deluxe cottage vacation rentals sleep up to eight and include full linens, appliances, kitchenware and bathroom / shower facilities. We pride ourselves in superior customer service coupled with a superb atmosphere. Pine Grove Furnace State Park

We are a family-owned you-pick farm in Berryville, VA located along the Opequon Creek. Our farm is a place for picking pumpkins and berries (in the fall harvest season), camping at the creek, and fishing. It's very scenic and peaceful. We're near rivers, Civil War sites, I-81 (and several major highways), Winchester VA, Costco, and so much fun! We are certain that you will love it!

We are just now getting started, so please be patient with us while we give this a go! Campers will need to be self-sufficient and self-contained as this is NOT a KOA or other chain campground - you'll be "ruffin it" or glamping in your own portable palace! We are a farm first, and campers second, but the place is beautiful and we want other folks to be able to enjoy it as well. Staying here would be best for through-travelers and short visits, though longer visits are probably fine too (just email Blake and check dates). Larger RV's will want to check prior to arrival to verify weather and ground conditions. Some 4X4-only sites may be available for intrepid campers, as well as a few walk-in sites with a pretty sweet view! We have a filtered water station available for campers depending on vehicle size (text first if needed). Please take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints!
