About

We welcome our guests to this unique and remarkable location. About an hour southeast of Mount Washington or a ten-minute drive to Maines's second largest lake, Sebago Lake. Just a trail walk away from your campsite, you will find the historic Maine central railroad- whether your adventurous side calls for an outdoor nature walk or perhaps a fun photo op for the history buff in you, there's plenty of sightseeing for all. Kayaking, canoeing, and fishing is made easy here. Wake up to the Eastern Maine sunrise and fall asleep to the sound of loons and owls, in this wilderness hideaway. Come Indulge your off-grid spirit here in Vacationland.

You can also enjoy a day trip to Portland or North Conway, New Hampshire, from this campsite. Peruse the independent bookstores, grab a lobster roll or pick up some sweet treats at the Whtie Mountain Cupcakery. LL Bean fans can also reach the flagship store and outlet in Freeport within a one-hour drive.

Your Signature campsite sleeps up to 6 campers - two on the Queen Bed (with bedding) in the platform safari tent and up to 4 additional campers in the included pop-up tent. The site also comes with a picnic table, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs where you can kick back and take in the stars at night. Our campsite is pet-friendly as long as your dog does well with other dogs and small children.

If you're looking to camp with friends or another family we have 3 Tentrr campsites on this property: Horsehoe River: Brookside, Horsehoe River: Hidden Beach and Horseshoe River Outlook. The sites are approximately 200-300 yards from each other.

The Space: Tuck yourself into the revitalizing woods of Vacationland. 40 mins from Portland airport (PWM) and less than an hour to downtown Portland; 45 mins from North Conway, NH and 2 hours from Boston

Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire

Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf. Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com.

Other Things to Note: Do pack food, flashlights, firewood, and an extra layer to keep you warm if the temperature drops. Always Leave No Trace! Please anything you bring in (including garbage), remember to bring out. Clean up after your pet :)

Please drive all the way down the dirt road and slowly cross the railroad tracks keeping an eye out for ATVs. Park next to the pile of wood chips. Be advised that in order to ensure the privacy of all campers and protect the wildlife, parking at the campsite is prohibited.
