About Wolfe's Neck Oceanfront Campground

Spread out over 626 acres with over three miles of shoreline, the campground has three distinct areas to choose from:

East Bay: Inland sites. Electric & Water Hookup sites are here, as well as some of our most private tent sites. Sites 2-56 are shady, and sites 60-70 are in a more open area. This is the closest area to the Camp Store, showers and Snack Shack.

Middle Bay: Tents only area. Forested and shady, Middle Bay gives the feeling of being deep in the woods, yet with many waterfront sites.

West Bay: Tents and RVs welcome (no hook-ups). West Bay has tall trees along the water line, and open fields and pasture. This area is particularly suited to kids, as it hosts the playground and recreation field. This area was recently improved with our new shower building.

Amazing spot!

This place was absolutely amazing! The campground is on the same land as an organic dairy farm! You get to be a part of the farm experience and see how a farm operates. We saw them milking the cows and feeding the other animals. There are also greenhouses and plants everywhere. A lot of the spots are right on the water, which is beautiful. There are trails to the shore along the campground. Showers and bathrooms were great!

Beautiful beach side camping

We camped a couple nights here at site 218, it was a slightly obscured water view but it was a beautiful view over a massive field looking out to the farm. The preseason rates were impossible to beat and it is a nice new facility. Running water spickets everywhere, nice flushing outhouses. We rented a kayaks at one point and had a great two hour kayak in a back cove and along the seashore. There were even horseshoe crabs mating on the kayak rental launch. Camp store was okay prices and had some quality options. All in all, great location and cant wait to return.

Close to Wolfe's Neck State Park

Visited this site while up in Maine seeing the in-laws and had a wonderful time! This is a beautiful site right on the water and so close to Wolfe's Neck State Park which has wonderful hiking. Just remember it can get pretty cold around here to plan accordingly depending on what season you go. Its also so nice just how close to Portland and Freeport this site is so you can even get some shopping in at the LL Bean outlet.

This campground will always hold a special place to my fiancé and I, as we got engaged here! We stayed right on the bay and there were gorgeous sunrises and awesome sites. There was plenty of space to spread out at camp and not have to worry about intruding on someone else. The rise and fall of the tide is a bit tricky if you want to kayak very much because you might end up dragging it through the mud if you stay out too long. Restrooms were close by but the only downside was that the showers were at the main store so you had to drive all the way up there! We arrived after hours but since we contacted them earlier in the day, they accommodated us by leaving a map to where our campsite was!

Oceanfront camping, kid friendly, laid-back

We camped next to the water and it was glorious. Mix of RVs and tents with a nearby farm to see animals and play. A playground in the center of the park and an easy distance from nearest town for groceries and LLBean supplies.

Such a neat concept! Camping at the farm!

We stayed here this summer and was one of our favorites ever! This campground is located on an organic dairy farm. There is a farm cafe on site with local food. We loved that! We went into Freeport and did a lobster charter on the Jenny ellen boat. Beat memories of any trip we have been one and we camp a lot.

Beautiful farm, ocean, and forest experience

Absolutely fabulous camping experience. Stayed in "quiet cove" which is the tent-only location a bit of a ways from the main campground office, but much more natural and secluded. Was also created pretty recently so the bathrooms were clean and lovely, and all the pathways and landscaping felt really well maintained. Didn't try the food, but there is a nice food stand with woodfired pizza and a lobster dinner on certain nights. The trails and ocean views around Wolfe's Neck Park were fantastic - highly recommend for anyone looking to get out of the Freeport consumer scene.

A beautiful place with a farm, campground and state park all together! There are tenting spots, camper spots and field spots. I recommend any with tree coverage. There are bathrooms close by to all, the main lodge is nice and the food at the snack shack is sooo good!! burgers, pizza, salad- all local and from their gardens. The working farm is open to visit and walk around. Pet the baby cows and see the pigs and goats. they have a ton of activities going on through the summer. Our huge tent site was $60 for a busy August weekend. totally reasonable! we had a lovely time despite the rain and will try to go again next year! The grounds are a short drive to downtown Freeport for shopping at the outlets and LLBean.

gorgeous grounds!

My husband and I loved camping here! beautiful property, great little store on site for anything you forget, and it was really easy to book. we were so thankful that when we decided to stay an extra night they let us know when someone on a different site checked out so we could scoot over and stay. :)

Breathtaking views

One of our families favorite camping spots. We prefer sites near playground that overlook Vasco bay. Bathrooms are very clean and kids really enjoy running in field and that there is a working farm within the camp ground.
