A magical place

A magical place. This place is so much more than a beautiful campground nestled among gorgeous old growth trees located right on the shore. It’s also a treasure trove of arts of all kinds - fiber arts, metal sculptures, carvings, paintings, and music. We got lucky and stayed on a lovely weekend…

Tent Sites with Excellent Views

Spent 2 nights here and loved every minute of it. From the amazing sunsets, to the nice tent sites, Bar Harbor KOA impressed us. Quick check-in, free delivery for firewood, hot water for showering.

Great family owned campground!

Great place to stay. Sue and Peter are wonderful and make you feel like family! The grounds are kept in immaculate shape. It's away from Bar Harbor but close enough to go visit. We liked going to the Winter Harbor area to hike and ride bikes. Corea Wharf was a great place to eat and LobStore is a…

Labor Day Weekend

Quick walk to bathrooms & showers, which are very clean. Held lots of activities over the weekend, busy crowd. Got a nice secluded tent space.

Beautiful!

Waterfront and premium spots are beautiful. I would not want to stay in a regular RV spot as there are no trees or privacy.

Perfect Ocean Campground

This is a great little campground, that goes the extra mile in everything they do. From an effortless check in to free delivery of everything from coffee to firewood to cooked lobsters. Looking forward to heading back next year

Clean, well-managed with friendly rangers- decent showers

Lamoine State Park represents the way most Maine state parks should operate. Way ahead of both Camden Hills and Cobscook with regard to cleanliness and upkeep. Showers were surprisingly good and often cleaned.

There are two non-reservable sites right on the Bay--- do try for one of those when…

  • Boats at Lamoine St. Park Bayfront
  • Tent at site # 57 Lamoine

Small primitive campground on a large lake

There's no fee to camp on Seboeis public lands and you can stay up to 14 days. That said, because it’s free and extended(14-day) stays are permitted, it can be hard to snag a drive-in, lakefront site. I returned on 3 consecutive weekdays and the only drive-in sites were occupied by the same…

  • View from the dock at the boat ramp
  • One of the drive-in, lakefront sites
  • Another lakefront site. This area could be split into 2 sites, but it looked like one group occupying both.

Family Friendly

The premium tent sites were large. The playground was great for the kids. The swimming pool was a highlight as well. The bathrooms and hot showers are dated and get crowded at times. Ice and wood for sale at the camp store was handy.

Very Good

The Campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. The campground is perfectly located between Camden and Rockland Maine. For a private campground the sites are a decent size with some trees. There is a beautiful overlook to the ocean. The facilities are very good.

Camden Hills campground has seen better days

This beautiful state park is behind on maintenance of sites & bathroom facilities. The bathroom for the lower loop needs a vigorous power wash and updating of the stalls, lighting and dryer system. Gross was the word that kept repeating in my mind for the shower and flush toilet…
