Wooded and quiet

We loved Moose Brook State Park Campground. There are many wooded sites and lots of very private ones too. Some sites rim a grassy field. There’s a newer bathroom with hot water, showers, and a dishwashing station. And the location is perfect for hiking the Randolph Trails or Appalachia.

Favorite Spot in the White Mountains!

Close enough to all the major attractions, while also providing a warm family vibe. We visit regularly!

Halloween!

This visit we had our hybrid camper in one of the wooded sites. The Halloween celebration is really well done- campers decorate their sites, there is an in-costume parade, and the central, bigger rigs are set up for trick or treating. The haunted house is scary enough that I waited by the exit!…

Spring at Black Mountain Cabin

The trail up is steady, good footing, not many rocks and several stream crossings. The view from the cabin was nice but from the summit was disappointing. The spring was a little more than a trickle but the area was set back from the cabin and clean. The cabin had been cleaned by a ranger the night…

Great spot, great hosts

Kid and pet friendly. Lots of activities for kids including a flashlight candy hunt, water slide, and s’more roast. We’ve been coming back for years and the addition of a glamping tent, cabins, and domes have made it even nicer!

Great location with amazing views!

This campground is a great option for relatively inexpensive campsite in an area that can have camping costs reach$65-100/night. The park is located on Casco Bay in the town of Freeport(home to L.L. Bean’s flagship store{which is open 24/7} and many other outlets). The views are great and you have…

Just O.k.

If you want to visit the Phippsburg area of Maine, your camping options are pretty limited. We chose Meadowbrook Camping Area for the simple fact we wanted to explore that particular area of Maine. The campground has a mix of sites from tent sites tucked away in the woods to large RV sites in the…

Good Location, Clean, Lots of Camping Options

I have a love– hate relationship with KOA campgrounds. They tend to be overpriced and not consistent. You will find one that has nice sites at a decent price. Then, there are the others which are complete opposite. This KOA is on my good side.  There are lots of site choices, cabins, yurts, and…

  • Nice, long pull thrus that are buddy sites.
  • Pizza oven and café.
  • Some sites are very open with lots of space.

Birthday Bliss!

Was my first camping trip in a long time. This place is great and so special. We stayed for 4th of July weekend (my birthday) and even though the place was fully booked we still felt like we had the place to ourselves Most of the prime sites are nice and spread out a little from one another …

Clean and convenient

We stayed here for one night, just to make for easy driving to Mt. Washington in the morning for a hike. The campsite was clean and firewood is offered at the check-in house for $6/bundle. There are bathrooms and sinks. It is easy to drive around, I was in a sedan and we did fine. The camp sites…

Nice campground, choppy water!

I spent three days at this campground in July of this year during COVID. The check in staff was great and wore masks. The bathroom and grounds staff did not wear masks, even when in the bathroom with other people in there, so that was pretty disappointing. I stayed mostly on my site except to try…

Remarkably beautiful

We stayed there 1-4 September 2020. Zero bugs beyond a few basic house flies. Breathtaking water views and well maintained grounds and facilities. Many sites were on waterside of the beautiful lake-ours included. We were the only campers without kayaks or canoe— felt like we missed a golden…
