We showed up to a swampy site (it’s a bayou after all) full of mosquitos. As soon as the sun went down, the termites flooded every light source. By the next day things seemed to drY up a bit and we were able to enjoy the wildlife and some great fishing. Our site was large with H2O and electricity.…

Great fishing, swimming, playground, walking trails! We had to be in this are for work and so glad we found this lake!
Located only 15 minutes from the heart of New Orleans!! The campground is spacious and each site is separated by trees or bushes. It’s very affordable like most state parks are, which is a plus. The bathrooms and showers were heated and clean, but I did have a tree frog join me during my morning…

Nicely wooded campground. Some ambient traffic noise. This is a good campground for day trips into NOLA.
Permit and sign-in/out required on Louisiana WMA website. Close to a boating launch that has a bathroom and water. The site has 3 picnic tables with plenty of room for tents or rvs. About 2 miles from town, with decent service. Beautiful sunsets over the fields.
This was a great place- especially for an overnight. Easy to navigate through the park- all concrete. This site was level. No wifi, but AT&T cell service worked fine. Water and Electricity with dump station on site. Trashcans conveniently around the park.
Large campsite with 100 spots filled mostly with RVs.
- 20 minutes from NOLA
- friendly staff! we arrived late at night and staff let us check in the AM! They’ll also let you drive through to pick an available spot.
- very clean laundry room! Loads were $1.75
- hot showers :)
- stop at Joe’s…
We stayed here to be close to New Orleans. It is still a bit of a drive into the city, but there is a ferry you can take also. You still have to drive to the ferry, but it is supposed to be closer. We didn’t use the ferry though. This is a nice state park that has pretty scenery and free laundry!!…

This is a busy weekend park within 2 miles of Morgan City, LA. It sits on the edge of a large freshwater lake and has great views. Many sites appear to be Big Rig Friendly. There are various sections of park to choose from. Easy access to park and paved roads inside park. Includes bathhouses,…

The park is really nice, excellent sites and great amenities there’s a lot of room for bike riding. Great boat launch some of the best fishing you’ll ever find and if you go out on the boat make sure you bring some marshmallows to feed the gators. The wave pool in the summer is usually overcrowded…
The views (and the sunsets) here can’t be beaten and most of the sites were right on the water. If you like to fish and are in a fully contained RV, you might find this place ideal to get away from it all. We travel in a 17-foot campervan, so this does not fit the profile of the type of camping we…
