Inside the park is good

This one will depend on what type of things you like or why you are staying here. We were passing through but wanted to see the french quarter. The area doesn't feel safe, but inside the campgrounds does. The campground itself is clean and kept up well. They keep a guard at the gate all the time.

Not worth the money

I wouldn’t book again for this price! I enjoyed the closeness to the French Quarters as we were able to walk everywhere. That along with a nice pool were the only pluses for me. The pool was overcrowded each time I went and the rudeness of the man on site was disgusting! We were 30 minutes early to…

Attack of the termites

We showed up to a swampy site (it’s a bayou after all) full of mosquitos. As soon as the sun went down, the termites flooded every light source. By the next day things seemed to drY up a bit and we were able to enjoy the wildlife and some great fishing. Our site was large with H2O and electricity.…

Worth the trek

It’s out of the way for most people but it’s a gem. Friendly helpful staff, clean grounds but the power/cable boxes need work. Awesome clubhouse! Great outdoor pool area was open off season. Indoor heated pool and hot tub was the best for my sore joints. Showers could also use some help but so far…

Bayou Segnette State Park, LA

Located only 15 minutes from the heart of New Orleans!! The campground is spacious and each site is separated by trees or bushes. It’s very affordable like most state parks are, which is a plus. The bathrooms and showers were heated and clean, but I did have a tree frog join me during my morning…

Nice state park pretty close to New Orleans

Nicely wooded campground. Some ambient traffic noise. This is a good campground for day trips into NOLA.

Great for a few nights

Permit and sign-in/out required on Louisiana WMA website. Close to a boating launch that has a bathroom and water. The site has 3 picnic tables with plenty of room for tents or rvs. About 2 miles from town, with decent service. Beautiful sunsets over the fields.

Cheap and great option for exploring downtown New Orleans!

This was a great place- especially for an overnight. Easy to navigate through the park- all concrete. This site was level. No wifi, but AT&T cell service worked fine. Water and Electricity with dump station on site. Trashcans conveniently around the park.

Location and Laundry!

We stayed here to be close to New Orleans. It is still a bit of a drive into the city, but there is a ferry you can take also. You still have to drive to the ferry, but it is supposed to be closer. We didn’t use the ferry though. This is a nice state park that has pretty scenery and free laundry!!…

Better than I Expected!

Nice park! Who would have thunk it, in the middle of New Orleans. A convenient walk to the French Quarter. Very safe and secure. A nice little green park next door for the doggies. Very clean with curbside trash pick-up. A pool and a hot tub (though we weren't there at a warm enough time to use…
