Campsites trashed. Campground trashed. Dump station overflowed and closed. Toilets broken, plugged or poop all over toilets and floor. People parking 4-30' campers in one site, on the grass. One person left in the evening, got stuck and had 1' deep ruts. Had to leave to get another truck. It didn't…
Definitely needed WeBoost to make data functional. Verizon worked best of my carriers. Visible had zut coverage. ATT and Cricket were usable with WeBoost. Stayed on B-loop - really steep road. Limited TV coverage. Lovely foresty sites, pretty level. Elec & water. Bathroom excellent, very clean.…
Definitely climbers retreat. Beautiful area. Right next to beautiful natural bridge state park. Food in the area is just OK.
This has ranked #1 for campgrounds for our family this season.
Nestled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, this campground has all the things your family could want to do in nature.
Check in was super easy and the staff was great.
The site was very easy to get to.

We stayed in a cabin, didn't have any mattress in lol but the view was amazing
I camp here annually with my cousin. It’s a great campground if you don’t mind being in a more crowded setting. Aka less remote! Opt for the campgrounds towards the back for a little more privacy and immediate access to the nearby creek. Granted walking to the restroom is a little further. Fills up…
Camped for a few days in late March for a climbing trip (no fires at Miguels). It snowed the pipes froze over so none of the facilities were working. I'm sure it's super nice in the summer.
A great family get-away campground.
Great for a weekend or a whole summer. There are a lot of regular campers that come back all the time.
Family run and lots of amenities.

Hanson’s point at the red river gorge is often called the best view of the Gorge. To get to Hanson’s point you’ll have to earn it by hiking for about 2.5 miles, but trust me when I say it’s worth it. The campsites at Hanson’s Point are primitive campsites, so make sure you bring EVERYTHING you need…

The Tarr Ridge parking area is located on highway 77 on Tarr ridge rd in the red river gorge. Here are the coordinates for the parking lot. 37.85293, -83.64191 Just type it in your gps system and it will take you straight there! From the parking lot I suggest using the ALL TRAILS app to stay on…

Star Gap Arch at the Red River Gorge has two designated campsites on the trail, to the arch. We camped in the closest spot to the arch which is about 250 ft away.
This is a dispersed camping area. So bring EVERYTHING you need!
From the parking lot of the Auxier Ridge Trailhead, Star Gap is a…

This campsite is on the Veranda trail and is roughly 2 miles out at the RRG. Dispersed camping so bring everything you need! It’s a challenging hike so pack light. Make sure you walk the trail to the very end the view is amazing :)

exclusively climbers at Red River Gorge. Have been dying to go see that pretty sandstone for years. Miguel’s is infamous. $4 camping a night. Great food. Great pizza. Big climbing bro energy. Campsite is a big field. Has a pavilion, showers, restrooms, tables, and an infamous pizza…

Another great week of camping.
This park is listed as a resort so I took my pandemic bound family here in a mini vacation. Perhaps it was back in 1967.
The camping spaces were not very deep but that was ok because we are in the mountains. What’s odd is that you share a water spigot with a neighbor so you have to have a long…
