Nice basic camp. Lots of shade rings a field which may also be camped on. $10 for 3 days. Walk to lake. Fire pit with grill, picnic tables, dump station. Was car camping and it was perfect for that. Permits available online.

I love camping here but there is constant traffic with boats being put in via the boat ramp if you camp in the first 2 branches. The woods have been picked free of firewood around the sites but it is pretty. There are hiking trails connected there so that is a plus.
The campsite is considered to be primitive, which is fine, but it is right along the trail without any cover. All the campsites are one on top of the other without any cover in between or from the trail. They were all taken and incredibly packed during the Memorial Day weekend and honestly seemed…
We were a bit nervous about this campground when reading reviews and seeing the location (there is an Impact Incarceration Program that shares the border), but I'm glad we found it. We booked this spot a few weeks in advance for Memorial Day weekend, and honestly we only booked it because it was…
It was too hot to boon dock so we were very pleased to find this little gem so close to the interstate. The owner was so pleasant to welcome us after office hours and make sure we were all set. The bathroom was super clean and the shower had great pressure and instant hot water.
Great clean campground. Has a play ground where kids can have fun all day. Awesome river views are available from atop of the bluff. Few have septic hook ups. There is a dump station available. Great weekend get away. Be sure to check out the snack bar in the park great food.
We came down for a spontaneous camping trip to explore SNF and found Giant City to be a great place to stay. We stayed in the primitive camp site, while there were others there, everyone was dispersed far enough that it felt private. Camp grounds were clean, quiet, and the camp host and park ranger…
State park...really not much to do if you do not fish. Pit toilets that need attention shower house by the boat ramp ( outside of campground) that were filthy. They are used by everyone...not just campers so the abuse was evident. Many large groups camped together which was cool....but the…
Sites and bathrooms super well maintained. Sites were big and tucked away into pretty nooks. Close to some awesome hikes, Jackson falls was a fav. Fsho will return
Great campground to get away with family. The beach and the playground were nice for the kids. Our campsite was level and huge. I did notice a few sites were a little rough though. The bathhouses were nice and clean as well. We will definitely go back.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Clean bathrooms and laundry facilities. They are planting trees and trying to improve the grounds. It is a good location and easy access to the Shawnee forest. We stayed 2 nights and would stay there again.
Overwhelming smell of dead fish that are laying aplenty on the shores of Ohio Rv. as there is no staff to clean up. Add to this general malaise of zero maintenance mowing or repairing decrepid sites and you get the picture. Did have 30 amp to drive my AC that covered the sound of the work crew…
Just 4 miles from highway 62 in Kuttawa, KY and it feels like another place in time. You can fish Lake Barkley from your campsite or just enjoy the waves washing up. Level gravel sites with tables and a big fire pit with a cooking grate. Nice shade trees and some nature trails. There is a very…
