Good location to beautiful hikes

North Fork is located a few miles north of Ketchum. The facilities are clean and the host is friendly and helpful.

The tent locations are a little on the small side. I have a 4-man tent and had to stamp down some grass and plants in order to make it fit. It’s odd because the sites are HUGE. …

Popular campground

Beautiful campground with a lot of Oregon Trail history. Spacious circle campground with green grass center. More expensive on weekends.

Beautiful and Historically Significantl

We were about I hour early and the really nice person at the gate welcomed us and directed us to the Day Use area to wait. Wow! We were blown away. It was a large, lush, green, tree shaded area by the Snake River. There is also a new, really nice, Visitors Center with a film and displays about the…

Great family campsite

Can’t explain it but I just love this campsite. Not the biggest or best KOA I’ve been too but the mixture of the friendly staff, clean campsites, and cool little gift shop just gets me! Stay here you won’t regret it!

Great views!!!

We just went to 1000 springs this past weekend. A total of 12 of us in two separate spots. One right on the water and the other in the middle section in the tent camping area. The water was wonderful and we were able to paddle over to Ritter island on our paddle boards. The campsites are decent…

Even the camp sites weren't social distancing

It was only 6 steps from one site to the next. Cost was exceptionally high for the pool/hot spring access. Plus the $20 for tent site. Would not go again. We went for the night sky, but the close proximity other campers made it not so good. Also, I dont usually mind bugs but this was ridiculous!!…

We had a great time

Very nice and clean for a free campground, camp spots are spaced out nicely so that people are not stacked right on top of each other. We will be returning but next time we will be bringing our own water supply. The portable water on site has a yellow tint to it even after letting it run for a min…

Quiet Spot on the Creek

We stayed here Memorial Day Weekend. This spot is a hidden gem on a busy mountain during a busy weekend. The campground is off the old road right after Smoky Bar, and is along Big Smoky Creek. All weekend the campground was quiet and still had plenty of sites left over. We drove down the road into…

Peaceful Near a Flowing River

We came here second week of May just after the rangers opened FR-146. We travelled all the way to the end where there is a trailer turn-around. All sites looked nice and we counted 12 designated dispersed sites, #1 was the furthest in. We ended up in 2C(the furthest in of three sites of area…

Nice location, good facilities

I car camped here on a trip back from Oregon to home in Texas. The pad was overkill for my needs but I wanted bathroom facilities.

Nice wooded grounds, very quiet even though it was pretty much at capacity, and the facilities were nice and clean.

One of the best places to stay near Pine

We stayed at this campground in June of 2019. The camp host was friendly and the camp was kept clean and everyone was courteous to one another. Behind us was the river and at the end of the campground was some hot springs. It was Father's Day weekend so it was extremely busy. We got there Thursday…

Low water but good family camping

We took our camper and kids to Magic Reservoir. We went to the west side. Right now the water is very very low. We actually pulled out onto the dry bed of the reservoir so we were close to the water. We could easily walk down a slope to the water for fishing. We caught a few bass and trout. Since…

A family favorite!

We love this campground in the spring and fall, I imagine it would be hot and full of bugs during the summer months. But it has stunning views (we only stay on the upper loop), great places to explore, and it’s easy to get to. The museum is fun to check out, and they often have events going on…

Perfect for family's with busy kids

We had a blast here!! We could have gone all weekend without having to leave the campground. Lots for the kids to do. What we really loved was the individual dog runs they had where we could just sit inside a closed gated area with the dogs and keep an eye on the kids. We will be back!!
