The park was ok. We had a nice spot in Loop D with the Gros Ventre River right behind us. Definite Moose presence there as well! We saw 3 adult Moose and 1 young moose with it's mom.
The site itself was nice, but very tight! Piles of tree trimmings on the sides of the road and the sites…
This place was very quiet! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Bathrooms clean. We stayed here while we explored Yellowstone. Only pitfall we found was there was a lot of driving to get where we wanted to go in Yellowstone. Next time we will stay in the park!
The staff warns you that everything…
We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday not sure if we would find a spot. There was a camp ambassador at site 1 who said there was some spots available and let us know a bear went by shortly before we arrived, keep your food sealed up if you go here! We ended up finding spot #13, which you have to drive…
We stayed at Colter Bay Campground in the tent only section site 134 F. We had a campervan and a tent and had plenty of space. As with many national parks, neighbors are a little close but not terrible. We liked our site location and would come back again. We were across from the bathrooms and the…
By far the best campsite views ever. We stayed at the first site at the bottom. The road in was a little bumpy, but not bad at all. Easily accessible to Tetons, Mormon Row, Jackson, and Gros Ventre. Had good cell service (AT&T & Verizon) mostly in the evenings. It is a sought after…

This is a beautiful camp ground just outside of Grand Tetons National Park. There is a well-stocked store with more amenities than I expected.
The staff is great. They answered questions and provided recommendations - too notch!
The sites were LEVEL! The bathrooms are CLEAN! The views are…

A favorite hike-to of ours. A beautiful 8 mile hike up the mountain finished with secluded sites with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. Lots of wildlife, a bear cannister is required and provided at the parks Visitors Center when receiving your backcountry permit

Paid for the first two nights and enjoyed it so much we stayed the week. The road is quite rutted and rocky so a 4-wd is recommended if not required. Friendly host. Wonderful view of the sunset and night sky from a hill just outside the grounds

Ad, scam :(
We were nervous driving from Westgate Yellowstone to this campground not knowing if any sites would be available as this is a first come first served campground. Got here on Thursday morning and there were 4 sites available. This is a great campsite for tents and camper vans, However we have a 31’…

Take a right past the big dirt area and it’s real woodsey. We saw a deer and went on fun walks down the little creek. We went to grand Teton and Yellowstone for 3 days and stayed here the whole time it was awesome and freeeeee
Very convenient spot for visiting Teton, just outside of Kelly. If you come to the bridge, you’ve gone too far. Once you turn off, there is a large spot at the end of the little road, down by the river. And another on the left just as you pull in. Very quiet and picturesque. No amenities at all.
We picked this site because it was sort of in between Yellowstone (50 minutes from the west gate) and the Grand Tetons (a 90 minute pleasant ride through beautiful countryside and views of the west side of the Tetons). Mackey was a great host. We had full hookup. Ashton is a quaint little town…

Roads were a little rough, but the views were amazing.
So this park has 3 “areas”, we got stuck in the area on the far right and it was so disappointing it was very rundown and had weeds and holes in the site. The fire pit is just a small hole in the dirt. That’s it.
It felt like there may be permanent people living in this loop, when my son went to…
