8 miles in and worth it!
We like the more remote and peaceful campgrounds. We took a chance and got off the i-90 at cataldo and drove 8 miles into the woods. The road started out paved then went to a nice gravel road in the last 2 miles were pretty bumpy. Then we arrived at lost moose campground. Peaceful and in the woods. We heard lots of Elk bugling throughout the evening. Everyone was friendly. the Brook running by was calming. We had a great evening. If you like full service RV parks with lots of entertainment and distractions and Wi-Fi this is not for you.

Directions
It's easy! On I-90, take the Cataldo, Idaho exit (Exit 40), make a left to head south on S. Latour Creek Road and continue just a tad over 8 miles until you see our campground on the left. It's a fairly level road with no steep grades; however, after the first two miles the paved road transitions to a county gravel road that can be dusty and sometimes potholey at certain times of the year. Don't let your GPS talk you into a different route!
