About

National Forest

Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests

Aquarius Campground boasts 9 developed sites and 2 group campsites (Purple Beach) on the bank of the scenic North Fork of the Clearwater River. Swimming, fly fishing, tubing and whitewater rafting (May and June) are just a few of the many water sports frequently enjoyed by visitors here. Hunters, anglers, and families looking for a quiet spot to take a dip and get away with the kids can all find respite here. Hiking trails near the campground take hikers and backpackers alike into the Mallard Larkins Pioneer Area and to the Black Mountain summit, one of the few remaining places in Idaho where Mountain Goats can still be seen!__

Nice peaceful on the river

Nice place to camp on the river. Has a small beach area you can relax at. Starlink wouldn’t work great with the trees here.

Beautiful place in Clearwater Region

I saw a rattle snake here?!? I did not even know they could survive up here.

But he was no problem, he slithered of the trail as soon as he saw us.

There’s a few group cites and a handful of single family sites here.

On the other side of the river is thick tree lines with a gorgeous view. This area is very quiet and there’s some beach spots to hang out and get some sun with the family.

There’s a lot of nice areas to hike, water rafting and fishing activities. So there’s a bit of everything to satisfy whatever you are into.

Beach sites are very comfy

I really like beach sites especially for groups as it’s easier to find a comfy spot without a sleeping pad.

There is sandy areas which make this location ideal for kid and other fussy campers in terms of comfort.

It’s a great place to splash in the water for the family and your pup!
