## Overview

 At Last Chance Campground, there are 20 single and three double sites situated along Goose Creek in a mature Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir forest. This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.\_\_ If this option is available, you will need to first download the free [Recreation.gov][1] mobile app [https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app][2] prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. 
## Recreation

 This campground boasts many opportunities for recreation. Goose Lake is a short distance away, which features a picnic area, restrooms, and fishing piers. There is excellent fishing in the reservoir, or try your luck in Goose Creek, next to the campground. Popular Goose Creek Trail #533 begins at the campground and leads to Goose Creek Falls and onto Brundage Reservoir. Hiking to Goose Creek Falls is a family-friendly hike that everyone is sure to enjoy. A special treat is to go huckleberry picking in late summer along the trail!\_\_ 
## Facilities

 This popular campground along Goose Creek features twenty single sites, three double sites, and one group area. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. All sites are available on a first come, first serve basis. There are vault toilets and drinking water through a hand pump and an artesian well. There are no hookups and no trash receptacles; please pack out your trash. A day use area has a horseshoe pit and picnic tables. 
## Natural Features

 Last Chance Campground is situated among large ponderosa pine and Douglas fir trees, which offer a charming forested setting. The campground is situated along Goose Creek, at approximately 4,653 feet.

Excellent campground with large sites, beautiful and huge Ponderosa pines, and very clean and odorless vault toilets. We heard an owl hoot twice. The hike to the Goose Creek falls, as mentioned by others, is great. It's 2.8 miles to the Falls and another 0.2 miles to a neat bridge. The water was wild in June and so were the flowers. The trail is exceptionally well designed and has boardwalks over muddy stretches. I highly recommend both the campground and hike!

Another terrific Idaho campground!

This is a great campground with the re river running right next to it.  This campground has a hike that leads to the beautiful goose creek falls.

Amazing waterfalls

The road up to this campground isn't bad but it is gavel and steep. The grounds are fantastic however and located right next to a stream. The bathrooms are pit toilets but they did have potable water out of a spout. The hike up the river to the falls is one of the better short hikes in the area but there is evidence of bears.

Off the Path

The best hot spring locates a short distance from the campground. This is one of my favorite places to camp. The trees around gave us plenty of shade on a hot day!

A hot spring experience! 

This used to be one of my favorite campgrounds until they had to log it this past winter. As of now (2020) the campground is closed to the public until they can clean it up. It is very close to McCall and New Meadows which is great. Goose Creek flows right by the sites and it is very wooded here. There is a hot springs near the entry. While it is on private property, many people still use it. Sadly, it gets vandalized a lot. Please be considerate and clean up after yourself! This is a great place to access Goose Creek Falls. A great hike for the family. It is also a good place to pick Morels in the spring and Huckleberries in the summer!

We adore this spot for so many reasons—proximity to adorable McCall but removed enough to feel remote, trees, hiking along the water, close encounters with the fauna kind :) do yourself a favor and visit this secluded paradise

The road leading up to sites is very narrow and steep grade. With a trailer you do not have enough room for any oncoming traffic. Luckily it is not a busy road. Nice spots along the river. Spotty cell service.
