Peaceful and Relaxing

First time camping here and absolutely love it. Very quiet ( you can setup a hammock and take a nice nap) and kid friendly with a nice playground, kept very clean. Probably one of the nicest sites for a small camper.

Absolutely Beautiful!

We stayed for 4 days. The first 3 were sunny during the day and a bit of the chilly side at night. So in other words, perfect camping weather. Day 4, rain but that was ok too. All in all we had a great time!

We loved this campground!!

We booked the campground at the last minute but they were still able to get us in. We met a few of the attendants during our stay and they were all so very kind. Our site was great! Near the water and tons of huge rocks. So beautiful!

Amicalola Falls

The largest waterfall in Georgia and the 3rd largest in the Southeast. They have paid camping and you can also hike the AT trail and find free remote camping.

Nice but be cautious!

While this great little park should deserve 4.5-5 stars, we had an unfortunate experience while we were there.  My family of 5 were on the lake-side of our little 22ft TT while someone less fortunate than us decided to steal my 9yr old daughter's new bike.  The bike was parked at the rear of the camper and the thief was very 'brazen' to attempt the theft in the daylight and in a populated and gated campground.  After discussing the issue with the campground staff, we were informed that locals often come through the woods and even wade through the edge of the lake to steal from the campground.  Other than that incident, the campground is very nice with very private sites, lake access and a public boat ramp located on the other side of the main road.  We probably will not return to this campground.

Nice quiet campground along a nice quiet stream

We parked our 22ft travel trailer at site 30 which was bounded to the north and east by the tent camping area.  There was heavy storms for several days before our arrival which is why there are no tent campers in our photo.  We had the whole tent area to play games in.  While the RV sites aren't very private, there is plenty of space to escape your neighbor.  The nice gurgling stream (Big Cedar Creek) bounds the campground to the east and is a nice walk through a mowed/maintained field.  The edge of the stream was nicely shaded with multiple picnic tables for everyone's use.  Due to the bad weather, we missed out on the haunted woods that the campground staff setup, but it did look like they put a lot of effort into the Halloween festivities.  Unfortunately, we also missed out on the little RV/Camping Store which looked to be really well stocked.

We will definitely return if/when we're in that area again.

Shoal Creek Camping LL, Ga

We had a really good time over the weekend

Lake Lanier BR Camping

We had a great time

Camping @ Stone Mtn Park

We had a blast the year we camped out at Stone Mtn, We rode the ferry boat, the train, then walked up the mountain to ride the skylift back down it just in time to watch the laser show. After the laser show was over and we ran around the big grassy area waiting for the cars to clear out we headed to our camping area, & made s'mores.

Clean, friendly, well-laid out sites

The campground host was very helpful regarding ice and wood, as well as giving tips for hikes. We loved the hike to the marble mine, even if a bit steeper than I had been prepared for! Dog friendly and kid friendly! Would definitely recommend to others.
