Located Northwest of Macon and great for camping near Atlanta, High Falls State Park is named for tumbling cascades on the Towaliga River. Boat rental, ramps and fishing docks provide easy access to the park’s lake, known as one of Georgia’s top fishing spots for hybrid and white bass. Overnight visitors can choose from a spacious campground or lakeside yurts, which are like canvas and wood tents. Each yurt features a small deck, picnic table and grill outside, plus furniture, electrical outlets and a ceiling fan inside. During summer, guests may cool off in the park’s swimming pool.
Visitors can hike along the river’s edge and through hilly forest to the remains of a hydroelectric power plant foundation. In the early 1800s, this area was a prosperous industrial town with several stores, a grist mill, cotton gin, blacksmith shop, shoe factory and hotel. High Falls fell from prosperity in the 1880s when a major railroad bypassed it. Today, the park is a popular camping destination and a relaxing side trip for travelers on I-75.

Campground is 48 acres in size and consists of open field, rolling hills, and woods. Pitch your tent wherever you wish. Can drive right to your tent site. Plenty of open room in the field for dry RV camping. Gasoline, diesel, full grocery store, several restaurants, auto parts, and hardware store all within three miles.
We have two full hookup RV site available. For tent campers, two community 110 outlets for charging phones, etc. are available. A community water spigot is available for tent campers and dry RV campers.

Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground is a 112 acre gem hidden in the hills south of downtown Milledgeville, Georgia. The park is located a short distance from Highway 441 Bypass at 2686 Irwinton Road South, just 30 miles from Macon Georgia and 90 miles South East of Atlanta Georgia. Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground has 60 full hook-up camping sites, bathhouse, coin laundry, three pavilions, and a swimming-pool with a pool temperature whirlpool.

Lake Sinclair Recreation Area is an ideal location for families, scout outings and church gatherings. It offers dozens of campsites and picnic areas. Its proximity to Lake Sinclair gives visitors no excuse not to enjoy the beautiful lake, which offers ample opportunity for boating, fishing and swimming. Natural Features: Lake Sinclair was created when the waters of the Oconee River were impounded by the Georgia Power Company in 1953, to operate a hydroelectric power station. The Lake Sinclair Recreational Area is located in the heart of Georgia and encircles 15,330-acre Lake Sinclair. Campsites are tucked into a shady mixed forest of oak, pine, hickory and balsam trees. Although developed residences sit across the lake, the campground has a rustic natural feel to it. Several sites have views of the lake. Recreation: Located along the shore of Lake Sinclair, the recreation area offers camping, picnicking, hiking, boating, fishing and swimming. Anglers will find warm water species including crappie, catfish, largemouth bass, hybrids and stripers, among others. Hikers enjoy the 1.8-mile Twin Bridges Trail. Hunting is also a popular activity, as a variety of wildlife make its home in the area. Facilities: The recreation area provides numerous campsites available for tent and RV camping, as well as day-use picnic areas. Each site is equipped with a table, lantern post and campfire ring with grill. Accessible flush toilets and drinking water are provided. A campground host is on-site. Group campsites in the area can accommodate up to 88 people. Camping spurs have a gravel surface and standard amenities. The group area is secluded from other campsites and provides a comfortable degree of privacy. Nearby Attractions: Eatonton, Georgia is 13 miles north, with a variety of restaurants, grocery stores and more.

This campground is first come, first serve. It is $15 dollars a night. Some of the sites are waterfront. There is a bathroom with a shower that was kept up with and stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. There is also a water spigot near the bathroom and electrical outlets in the bathroom.
