Easy to get too. Great location on Lake Lanier. The sites are very large and trees between most sites. Lots of water view sites, some have easier lake access from your site than others for our kayaks. Has boat launch, huge beach area, older bathroom facilities but very clean. Did not try showers. I…

This is such a beautiful place. Upon driving up, you see the office and the big lake behind it and it’s breathtaking. There’s a little beach to swim in or go fishing, etc. I went during Memorial Day weekend so every campsite was being used, and our tents were a little close together. I’m thinking…

Lots of open space, trees, by a river. Clean bath house with hot showers. Right on Chief Ladiga Rail trail about 6 miles west of AL/GA border. We road east, will come back to ride west segment. Dark at night for star gazing. Friendly folks.
Diamond Lure is a hidden gem at the foothills of the N. GA mountains. It's in close proximity to multiple apple farms, vineyards and Amicalola Falls. The grounds are clean and maintained with water and power at all or nearly all spots. Scenery is wooded and rustic with a tranquil lake on the…

SCofA does not have a mill, ruins, river or mountain trails. It does have a lake. Allatoona Lake. Pay attention…
This is a very nice place. With great people and great views. Getting out in nature,as this place allows, brings us back to our roots, connects us back to the Earth and it's other inhabitants, the animals and plants. This is a wonderful place to do this.
Navy is a small park with rolling hills, wooded sites and lots of shade. We’ve stayed at site 11 and 12, both accommodated our 28 ft camper well. They have a small sandy beach and beautiful Allatoona lake all around. Best feature though is the wonderful staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.…

Off grid camping. Lots of trails. Ruins of the old mill. Beautiful lake to kayak or fish. Close to the interstate. Go for the day or a weekend.
Large campground with lots of water front sites. Boat ramp and playground. Clean facilities and lots of shaded sites.
Not much to do but hike. You can kayak the Chattahoochee river if you are brave enough to deal with the pollution. Other than that, it’s a good place to relax if everyone doesn’t bring their massive barking dogs along. We found it very hard to enjoy all 3 times we went because of the dogs barking…
Very secluded area on Lake Lanier

Its not far from civilization but you feel like you are far away from it when you drift to sleep on a starry night under pink moon on the water
Easy to book and pay online, nice (short) hiking trails, geocaching, play areas for kids, full hook ups in the upper loop.
Con- weekend crowd destroyed bathrooms, sites are close together, if you get someone who doesn't know how to park in the loop, you struggle to leave
