Excellent Camping Sites & Scenery

This is a federal campground on which sites are spread out. The roads are paved throughout, but the campsites are gravel. The roads are great for bike riding and walking. Sites have electricity and water. Bath houses are older but clean. Wildlife live in the woods around the sites. I've seen…

Post-Apocalyptic Lakeside Camping Experience!

OK, so there were no zombies that we accidentally bumped into, but that said, the whole campground was supposed to have gone through a massive redo that was intended to be completed by May, but by the time our camping experience began (2 full months later), the whole place was still going through…

  • All 3 of my ladies returning from a great day of splashing around in the lake, truly the gem of this campground
  • My little ladies silhouetted in front of a sinking sunset on the lake

Very nice place !

This place has some great sites. Our site was #25. It was a pull through with 30 and 50 amp plugs. It’s a level lot with a grill, fire ring, picnic table and another small table. It’s right on the lake. There is a retaining wall at the water so it’s about a 3” step to the water. We plan to bring a…

Party Central on the Weekend

We camped at Hamilton Branch for a week, Monday-Sunday. The campground was quiet and lovely during the week, however Friday snd Saturday nights were loud-Several folks partied very late into the night (2:00am) with loud music, loud voices, etc. On the positive side: The lake was great, and we had a…

Loved it!

The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the fact that the campground road is in pretty rough shape. Most of the sites have a nice view if the lake. Some do have a steep drop off, so you’ll need to walk to the launch area (dirt slope) for access. We went specifically to golf, and had a great…

We will return

The roads leading here are quite comfortable for our 37' motorcoach as are the roads inside the grounds. This is a very well maintained USACOE facility. Our site (19) is quite large and very level (after the entry driveway): plenty of room for the coach and at least 2 other vehicles (we only have…

Lake Views and Lot’s of Wildlife

Mistletoe is a terrific state park. Very clean and up-to-date sites. Numerous RV sites on the waterfront. Waterfront sites tend to be water/electric, many interior sites seem to have sewer hookups as well. Verizon signal is 4+bars, plenty of bandwith. Lake was quiet this week as school was back…

Quiet Place

Simple camp ground with roomy sites that spread out. Some sites have nice lake views. All sites are wooded.

A hidden gem

We fell in love with this campground after our first stay. Our spot was shaded and a few steps from the water. Such a peaceful place! There is lots to do at this campground (hiking trails, swim beaches, fishing docks). We wish we could have stayed longer. The only problem we had was ants. Our…

Great Spot!

Loved it here! It was beautiful and had great views. I would definitely stay here again. The sites were spread out enough that you don’t feel on top of others.
