No Skoolie’s Allowed but…

No Skoolie’s allowed but this is a nice RV park for those with RV’s. I live close to this spot and it’s located in a great part of town. There’s great shopping centers and the area is growing. I asked to tour the grounds and the residents I spoke to had nothing but good things to say. Hopefully one…

Great views, near Roosevelt's Little White House and Warm Springs

Green forest on Pine Mountain, this campground is well laid out and has history.  Several projects done by the CCC.  40 miles of trails to hike/bike.  A CCC built pond where you can rent paddle boats or bring your own kayak or canoe.  Equestrian trail rides (and stable rentals) are available. …

Lovely, shaded, well separated camping spots.

Beautiful campsites with lots of space between sites. Water and electric, with nice level sites. The lake was nice for kayaking...paddle boats, canoes, row boats and kayaks available to rent.

  • Over looking the lake.
  • peaceful lake
  • some campsites right on the lake.

Skoolie

I have not visited this location but wanted others with school bus conversions to know that I spoke to Betty at this location and was advised that Skoolie’s are allowed on the property!

I Live Nearby

A few years ago, I visited this location because I considered living long term in an RV. The location is in a good spot right off the free way. It is clean. Staff at the front desk was nice and allowed me to go in to see how I liked it. I saw a few people outside and asked for their opinion of the…

Shady, well spaced camp sites and a nice lake.

Here for two days anf it's beautiful. Kayaked in the lake, saw turtles, a northern water snake and lots of squirrels and birds. Kids fished, but they only caught a turtle which was unhooked and returned to the lake...hopefully a little wiser.

nature heals

This is a very nice place. With great people and great views. Getting out in nature,as this place allows, brings us back to our roots, connects us back to the Earth and it's other inhabitants, the animals and plants. This is a wonderful place to do this.

Great place to stop on I85

This was a great spot right next to the lake. I would give 5 stars but the bathrooms need updated.

Lots to do!

Off grid camping. Lots of trails. Ruins of the old mill. Beautiful lake to kayak or fish. Close to the interstate. Go for the day or a weekend.

Great weekend of camping

Love this campground. Our site, #102 , was level, but kinda short for our 40ft camper. Clean bathhouses, friendly staff! Our site overlooked the lake, nice breeze. Trails are nice, long walks through the woods.

We wanted to try to get in other sites, had to plan almost a year out. This park…

It’s a campground with hiking trails

Not much to do but hike. You can kayak the Chattahoochee river if you are brave enough to deal with the pollution. Other than that, it’s a good place to relax if everyone doesn’t bring their massive barking dogs along. We found it very hard to enjoy all 3 times we went because of the dogs barking…
