Chattahoochee-Oconee/Morganton Point

This is a small campground just north of Blue Ridge GA on Lake Blue Ridge. There are many great tent sites right on the water but only a couple of RV sites with direct water access. There are other RV sites with wooded views. It has a fairly new bathhouse that is kept very clean. I really like convinience to the town of Blue Ridge and many other activities in the area.

The campground is very private,  feels like you are in the woods.  Lots of trees and space between sites.   Water and electric only but do have a dump station.  We are in site 30 and it is steep to back into.  Once in we were able to level.  Be ready to level your rig as I have not seen a level site yet.  We could not pick up local TV stations.  Bring lots of DVDs.  All in all, it's a great beautiful campground.  Staff have been great but strict, which is a good thing.  


Private and Quiet campground 

My family and I went to Morganton Point on a whim. We wanted a mountain view and some water to splash around in while summer was starting. This was the perfect place, and with only 40 or so sites it was not overly crowded even when the campground was at capacity. Firewood was available for purchase and the staff would bring it to your site. We found ourselves playing in Lake Blue Ridge everyday, the first day we swam, the second day we fished, and then we kayaked. The rental prices were reasonable too,for $30 we had two hours per person on the kayaks. 

Relaxing Getaway

Campground is on the lake and offers kayak rentals. There’s also a swimming area. The location is near Blue Ridge. We went over to Blue Ridge Marina that was nearby for dinner &amp; live music. The bathrooms are okay at the campground and relatively clean. We were using the older bathroom near our site, but there were new bathrooms available. Our site was a little hard to back our RV into up a hill. Otherwise, It was a nice spot.

The staff were friendly, bathrooms/showers were clean, lake was beautiful, and the Blue Ridge has great restaurants. Highly recommended.

Great spot!

Morganton campground is an ultra quiet campground.  Sites are spaced apart and vary in size and beauty.  We stayed in site 1 which was next to the host, newer bathroom, and the trail that led to the recreation area.  Some sites are wooded while others are on the lake and have private access.  The host will deliver wood and ice to your site as well.  When you arrive, if you have reservations, you head straight to your site and the host will come to you for check-in.  If you are walk-up you simply find an unreserved site, claim it, then go check-in with the host.  The atmosphere is super relaxed and the hosts are very pleasant.  The wildlife is abundant with various birds and chipmunks as well.  There is no alcohol allowed in any area of the campgrounds.  I highly recommend this campground and we will be back to enjoy it in the future!

Quiet Retreat

First time visiting here. Loved it!  Camp sites aren’t too close together. The bath houses are immaculate! Beautiful lake. Staff was amazing. Need anything and they will bring it to you. our pup even loved it. We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful Campground on the lake

We lucked out and got site 33 (it’s a first come, first serve site). It’s close to the water and we visited in late October so there was no one else nearby. We had the beach to ourselves for a meteor shower. The main bathrooms and showers were nice (even heated). They drive firewood and ice out to your site. 

Great site close to Blue Ridge

Absolutely loved staying here! We took out boat out on the lake and enjoyed the view of the mountains, especially through the morning fog. We also had a great time window shopping the nice homes in the area!
