Great get away for nothing but quietness. No internet, no nothing. Just a peaceful lake escaping reality. Almost every campsite is on the lake but 3 spots.
reserved a site on spur of the moment after i found one on the water and 50amp. once arrived at the park determined all the sites, but 3 were good and on the water. the trails were good but the white trail needed some maintance. did a tour of the museum and grist mill which was very intresting. park staff were super friendly. lakews alot bigger than i expected but there are rulles about what motors are allowed. over all super nice and very quite park. support our state parks to help keep them maintaines and open.
Very large sites. Very quiet. All but 3 sites are on the lake. Sites 1and 2 are primitive - water, electric and no water view. Site 3 has a view of the water but no direct access for your kayak or canoe. Sites 4-19 have sunrise views. Site 20 sits on the point by itself but has no shade. We stayed in site 21 that was private, shaded and had great access to the water. Sites 21-30 have sunset views. Sites 4-30 have direct water access. They have several buddy sites and several pull throughs. There is one bath house which is older but relatively clean. I never saw anyone else in the bath house. It does have a family bath/shower room. There is a nice shaded playground with a horseshoe pit. Very little to no outside traffic. There is a museum and gristmill and nice park office. If you want a quiet stay to fish and relax this is a great park. They do have 3 trails but we enjoyed the relaxation so much we didn't do them. Maybe next time.
Wonderful views, beautiful sunsets, great fishing and a peaceful place to stay! We woke up to a breathtaking sunrise and enjoyed a cup of coffee with the view. Most sites have a few of the lake and are spaced out. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking forward to. Easy to get in and out of site, check in was quick and easy. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. We will be back soon!
First time camping there. Beautiful site on the lake. Had a great time hiking and visiting the gristmill.
Lovely big mill pond with campsites right on the water. Quiet area, will definitely go back.
