    Surrounded by 54,000 acres of prairie, campers at the Kilpatrick Hammock Campground can experience real Florida wilderness with access to modern conveniences. Water and electricity are provided at all 35 campsites along with a spacious accessible restroom with showers and laundry. A water-filling and dump station is centrally located.

    Trails are located near the campground to allow for exploration of the preserve. The park's remoteness makes Kissimmee Prairie an ideal location for stargazing. The park also offers the Bedtime Story Camper Lending Library of picture books for campers ages 4 to 9. Check out the books at the park office. Well-behaved pets are allowed in the campground in accordance with our Pet Policy.

    Sixty campsites are available with electric and water hookups. A dump station is located nearby. The camping area is located in an oak hammock that provides shade and a natural buffer for a little seclusion.

    Park amenities include a boat ramp and marina as well as trails, a playground and an observation tower providing a view of Lake Kissimmee. Well-behaved pets are welcome in the campground in accordance with our Pet Policy.

    Sites 15, 9, 49 and 52 have accessible amenities, including picnic tables, grills, and paved pathways to accessible restrooms (including a shower).

    Primitive equestrian camping is available at Lake Kissimmee State Park. Come prepared: Water, electricity and restrooms are not available.

    For those who prefer primitive camping, two campsites are located on the 13 miles of hiking trails within the park. Everything must be backpacked in, including water.

    Each site includes two picnic tables and two ground grills. No facilities are available at either campsite. The sites are available for individuals or groups, with a maximum of 12 people per site. At least one of the camping party must be 18 years of age or older. Campers must arrive at the park at least three hours before sunset. Campers, please be aware that occasionally, for example, on holiday weekends, boating noise from Lake Kissimmee can be heard throughout the campground. Maximum recreational vehicle length is 55 feet.

    This 84.5-acre conservation area and urban district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon is near the Sebastian Inlet marine ecosystems and the Atlantic Ocean. Isolated from the hustle and bustle of urban life, Long Point Park is a haven for fisherman, and nature enthusiasts.

    This full service campground features shoreline campsites. There is also a boat ramp, small fishing dock and a fish cleaning station. Adjacent to the camping area and connected by a bridge, Scout Island offers more than a mile of nature trails, and primitive youth group camping at a reasonable group rate. Long Point Campground offers RV and Tent camping.

    A get-away all year-round for families and day visitors, the park has a Wildlife Pond, playground and picnic pavilions. Located across Hwy A1A from ocean beaches, it is near other County parks on the barrier island, and just a short drive from attractions in Sebastian and Vero Beach.

    The family campground offers water and electric hookups, a dump station, access to restrooms with shower facilities, laundry and dishwashing areas.

    Currently, there is no free Wi-Fi in the campground; however, Wi-Fi is available at the Hammock Inn Concession, which is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during peak season months. During the slow summer season, daily availability and hours of operation may vary for the Hammock Inn camp store. Call 863-402-0061 for details.

    Campsites have picnic tables and fire rings. Sites vary from being open and sunny to partially or fully shaded and range in length from 20 to 50 feet. Maximum RV length = 50 feet.

    Three paved campsites, designated as American Disability Act sites, are near an ADA-accessible restroom. A maximum of eight people with two tents are allowed per site. RV sites are allowed to have the RV and one tent.

    The recreation hall, a park rental facility with a full kitchen, stage, large seating area, restrooms, barbecue grill and playground, is used for family reunions, weddings, parties, meetings and other events. Reservations may be booked through the ranger station 11 months in advance.

    The campground is a short walk from the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum and the picnic area. The bike path, nature trails and playgrounds are within proximity and easily accessed. Ranger-guided programs and interpretive walks offered during the busy winter season are suspended during the summer.
