During your **“Experience”**, you will meet the monkeys up-close and personal, there is no contact; some residents love people, and others we respect their privacy. You will learn about the monkey's past, hear their heartwarming stories, rescue to recovery. First stop, a visit to "Munchkinland", home to our tamarins and marmosets, the smallest monkeys in the world. Next stop "Kansas" where you will meet many different species of capuchin, and spider monkeys. Then on to "Emerald City" to meet our amazing squirrel monkeys...are you sensing a theme :-)?! Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary provides care for over 200 New World monkeys, capuchins, marmosets, tamarins, squirrel and spider monkeys. Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary provides a permanent sanctuary home for monkeys released from, research, ex-pets, or were confiscated. We accept special-needs monkeys; monkeys with psychological problems, amputees, diabetics, blindness, also arthritis and other old-age related issues. Every monkey rescued from a life of abuse or neglect becomes a part of our mission; “beings worthy of our efforts, they must be included in our moral universe. Taking action to assist individual non-human primates in need, reaching out to human primates we attempt to encourage, inspire, and wherever possible assist others in taking specific actions for the good of their fellow primates, a more compassionate world.



MONKEY STOP

Enjoy full RV hook up located right in the heart of our farm. While camping, you will see and hear goats, horses, Charlie the pig, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and most likely deer, sand cranes, and the occasional bald eagles, throughout your stay. The infamous Eduardo the Turkey, will surely make an appearance at your front step. Now included in each stay (up to 6 campers) interact and feed your favorite farm animals during one of our AM or PM feeding times. When available, you can enjoy fresh chicken eggs for breakfast straight from the coop for a small fee.

A pasture is right next to the RV hook up so if you need to bring your best horse friend, they can camp right alongside of you for an additional $15.00 a day. You just need to show proof of Coggins and vaccines before arrival. Sand riding arena available for use, at your own risk. Pets are welcome as well, as long as they stay on a leash the entire time and are cleaned up after.

A fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs and picnic table is set up right outside your door.

The historic town of Micanopy is just a few minute drive and offers antique shopping, restaurants, unique gift shops, and entertainment. Paynes Prarie Preserve State Park is just a couple minute drive away and offers hiking trails and wildlife sightseeing. There is also trails for horseback riding within two miles of Collins Farm.

Woodsy Spring Haven

With over 1/3 acre of dedicated riverfront property on the Santa Fe River, you’ll have all the peace and quiet you can handle in this single spot campsite. The campsite was purpose-built for friends and family who come to visit this slice of paradise we call home. Ideally located in the heart of spring country in North Central Florida, we have over 18 major springs within a 50-mile radius of this location, which allows for all the outdoor exploration and watersports you desire. With tubing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing available within feet of the campsite, you can stay nearby or venture out to some of the best springs in the world.  

  

Boaters– Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers.  

  

Tubers– Tube the private section of the crystal-clear Ichetucknee river accessible only by the homeowners via our 3 waterfront parks. Both get-out parks are within walking distance to the campsite for your convenience.  

  

Paddlers– Paddle the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood, or if the time of year is right, venture up to the Ichetucknee State Park to paddle the head waters and north entrance. This is limited in season and numbers to keep the impact on the river to a minimum.  

  

Swimmers– Swim the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood via our 9 waterfront parks(6 Santa Fe, 3 Ichetucknee) or venture to either entrance of the Ichetucknee River State Park just a few miles away.  

  

Nature lovers– Explore the unspoiled conservation areas within the neighborhood that can be hiked and explored. Setup a hammock and sit by the river and watch all your worries wash away, you may get to see the occasional manatee.  

  

Whatever your passion, this campsite accommodates it with electric(50/30/15), water, picnic table, concrete firepit, clothesline and plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is golf-cart and UTV friendly and has lots of dirt roads to explore. The deer can be found quite easily every morning and evening while riding around and rarely run away from the vehicles.

4A River Camp

In 2020 a few friends asked if they could hold a few wellness retreats on our property out of the blue. we loved hosting so much, we decided to do this full time! It has evolved from pitching regular camping tents, to the luxurious glamping tents we have today! When it came time to name our property, we used a cute pet name, Dru uses for me, Moondance, as inspiration for Moondancing Meadows.

Moondancing Meadows is a back-to-nature wellness glamping facility. We believe in enjoying the abundance of nature, with a few creature comforts.

Check in time is 3pm, Check out time is 12pm

There is a community outdoor bathroom like no other outhouse you have seen and a beautiful community outdoor shower with hot water. We have a community fire pit for all to enjoy. If you would like a private gas fire ring provided at your site, it is available for a small fee plus propane. We also offer a kitchen kit that includes a propane stove, accessories, and coffee for an additional cost.

Our goal is to provide a perfect balance of peaceful connection with self and nature coupled with a connection to community.

We are located in the Horse Capital of the World and also 10 minutes from world-famous Rainbow Springs and KP Hole Park for kayakers and tubers. There is usually a waiting line in front of the park and at the tubing entrance starts 30 minutes to an hour before the park opens. The park often reaches capacity before the morning is over. It is very convenient to be close to the park to guarantee entry. We are also centrally located and close to several other nature attractions and springs.

We offer primitive and glamping options on our property and can accommodate group camping and also hosting wellness retreats. Moondancing Meadows

Our property is located in Three Rivers Estates a neighborhood of large mostly wooded recreational parcels at the convergence of the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe Rivers. The entrance to Ichetucknee State Park is only 4 miles from the property and access to the neighborhood parks on the lower Ichetucknee is 1.8 miles away. The property is on the Santa Fe River which is dotted with public and private springs, boasts tubing, boating and kayaking opportunities and terminates into the historic Suwannee River. Our two acre parcel is park-like, leaving lots of room for activities and fun and providing an expansive view of the river. Horseshoes and a disc golf hole are provided, kayaks and tubes are available on site for an additional rental fee. Three fire pits are available, one at each of the RV pads and one by the river. There is also a national park quality charcoal grill at the point of the property near the fire pit and seating for 6 on the covered boat dock. We prefer to rent to one group at a time. Send us a private message and let us know if you need more space and would like to add on the second site.

Welcome. Thank you for considering staying with us. We are privately family owned, on 10 acres in country setting. Enjoy country exposure with horses, dogs, chickens, and ducks. Nice, peaceful, quiet setting no city lights to enjoy the nature and sky setting. Our dogs are free roam but are dog and people friendly. We located close by some Florida's popular springs ex; Ginnie Springs, Blue Springs, Ichetucknee Springs. There bathhouse for your convenience has hot/cold shower, toilet, sink. Camp Out in Country

Bring your mountain bikes, canoes, kayaks and fishing gear. We have it all here at Seminole Springs.Limited number of campsites with Tents on them in a variety of sizes available. First come, First serve.These sites will have a slight upcharge. When you book, if you want to upgrade and reserve one of these sites, let us know and we will accommodate you. . We are open for tent camping.

NOTE: YOUR GPS MAY HAVE YOU TURN TOO SOON! Make sure that you do not turn at the Orange Market (243rd St). Turn at 244th St. where you will also see the original Camp Seminole Spring Sign. Go all the way down that road and you will come upon the Great Lodge. Then you will have arrived!

Bring bug spray and sunscreen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance.

We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking.

Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path.

This is rustic camping. We do have bathrooms located at the Great Lodge with showers.

Whereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you.

We allow campfires.

Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees...

The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit.

We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish.

Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature.

Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world.

This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek.

Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim.

At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

Rooterville is a nonprofit home to over 100 rescued farm animals of all types, THEY make it an amazing place to visit!

Come on out to the country for the experience of a lifetime interacting with sweet farm animals in luxury accommodations or bring a tent and "rough" it in your choice of spots on our beautiful 20 acre property surrounded by lots of amazing wild creatures of all sorts and our friendly animal ambassadors. Maybe you'll spot a bald eagle getting a meal from our ponds!

There's so much to see and enjoy right here at the sanctuary, we have over 100 rescued animals who can't wait to meet you and maybe bum a snack from you too. Melrose is quaint and rural. We don't rush here. Except at feeding time! You'll get to experience that too. Trolley Tours are free on weekends.
