Love this campground!

I'm on my way home to North GA after spending a week at Ginnie Springs. This is our second time at this campsite and we absolutely love it. Yes, it's a party place but that's only because people let you have fun without being buzzkills. It's privately owned, so you don't have alot of the restrictions that a national/state park would have. It is very well staffed, the bathrooms are regularly serviced, they give you trash bags and drive around to pick up your trash of you leave it by the road. The springs are gorgeous and are even lit up at night for evening fun. You can start your float at the beginning and stop to play at each spring along the way, get out at the end and start over again. The park is over 200 acres and there are campsites all over it. Many people come in RVs, there are water/elec sites and primative sites. They charge per person instead of per site so there isn't a limit on how many people on a site. And once you're checked in, you have full access to the springs during your stay without extra charge. Some reviews have mentioned that it's for college age kids - I disagree. We saw ages from stroller babies to retired. Lots of kids, you just need to know what to expect. Yes, you don't know if the group next to you is going to be blaring music all weekend, but you come here knowing that's possible. You go to Ginnie to have a great time with your friends and family and you go there without the intention of crushing other people's fun. We saw no trash anywhere while we were there despite it being completely packed all weekend. We enjoyed walking all over the property late in the evening listening to all the music, late night volleyball games, people watching a movie on the side of their RV, others with their huge floats in the lit springs and kids staying up past their bedtime out in nature. We also visited other local places - Blue Springs, Manatee Springs, O'Leno park to hike to the River Sink, then hiked to the River Rise a few miles away. Lots of fun things to do in a week's vacation Can't wait to go back!

  • Crazy busy fun. Don't come here if you're going to complain, just relax and go with the flow.
