Fort wilderness camping features 4 types of campsites accommodate everything from tents to 45-foot and longer RVs, with a maximum of 10 Guests per site. Each campsite is equipped with privacy-enhancing landscaping, water, cable television and electrical hook-ups, a picnic table and a charcoal grill. Most campsites also include a sewer hook-up, and some even permit pets.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

This was our home away from home for many years when we had Annual passes. The campground is perfect. Every site is pristine condition and has full hookups. You will pay high dollars to come here though. So many amenities it would be hard to list them all. Restrooms with showers in every loop. Laundry facilities, Multiple pools with slides. restaurants, lake, beach, outdoor movie theater with chip n dale. Arts and crafts time. convenience stores with souvenirs, golf cart and bike rentals. Bus transportation, ferry boat transportation and it goes on and on......

Ran across some more pics from Fort Wilderness today in my drop box. Man do I miss camping here! The boys were all so little and trips with mom and dad were actually fun. I would love to camp here again but I am thinking I may have to wait until they have kids of their own. Don't miss out on this campground while your kids are still little!

Disney!!

Enjoyed Fort Wilderness while visiting Disney while RV'ing to Orlando from Gainesville, FL. This was a cool way to experience the thrill of Disney but also not be holed up in an overpriced small resort hotel room. Granted there's not much nature to the campground, it still gives you the camping experience amongst a resort like atmosphere. Close to all the Disney parks. It is a large campground and area so bikes or renting the golf cart would come in handy especially if you're traveling with small children that walking a distance to the pool, etc would be a trek. If you're thinking of hitting up Disneyworld but plan to save by camping, would recommend. Very clean and well taken care of as expected for a Disney property.

Neat way to enjoy Disney

This is Walt Disney World where “dreams come true!”  Huge resort with paved roads and pads.  Wooded and a bit close together, FHU 50A.  Great place to ride bikes.  Several pools throughout the resort.  Laundry in the bathhouse.  We were in site 1612 which is on the easy side of a curve to back into.  Ferry ride to the Magic Kingdom and Monorail there to other Disney Parks.  Nice free public transportation to get around.

Where dreams come true

Such a nice change of pace from the usually hotel stays on our family trip to Disney World! All the accommodations you would expect from Disney. Cabin, tent, or RV with restaurant, lake and family Disney moving showing on the big screen! 

Magic Camp

Like everything Disney does they try and bring camping to the masses with this Campground.

Very well maintained sites which are completely hosed down after each guest leaves (seemed like kind of a waste of water..., but also glad they weren't using a leaf blower) no real privacy from each other to speak of, but every site is laid out pretty well. Nice clean and well maintained facilities with flush toilets, water, showers and even laundry rooms. However, there are tons of RVs here and people seem to have "moved in" to some of the sites with tons of decorations (lights and ornaments) with pretty elaborate setups. You'll want to go do a little exploring to see the craziness.

They do a great job of providing lots of western and camping themed events to try and get people to enjoy "camping"

Fires are not allowed, but they provide a campfire review with Chip and Dale with some fires for roasting s'mores (these get packed with people)

The overall grounds are huge and you are not supposed to drive around (there isn't parking at different area either) so to explore the grounds plan on walking pretty far or as you'll see most people bring a bike or golf cart (there are lots and lots of golf carts) and you can look into renting them there as well.

Also, you will definitely want to head down to the water and see the [Electrical Water Pageant](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/entertainment/magic-kingdom/electrical-water-pageant/). **_It's the oldest continuous parade that Disney has and it's really amusing!_**

Camping with an entertainment twist

Stayed two nights after a Disney Cruise. Amazing campground with so much to do. Would love to plan a week-long trip and do the parks every other day. Great maintained campsites. Clean and wonderful bathhouse facilities. Excellence transportation to the parks and within the campground. Golf carts available for rental.

Disney Magic + Camping! 

How could being at Disney be a bad thing? Even when tent camping it was amazing. Never a mosquito in sight. Geckos all around. GREAT for bike riding around the campsite.

Exactly what one would expect from disney

We went as a group with the boy scouts. We only camped we did not visit the parks. If we had wanted to, it would have been extremely easy to do so. They have buses that take you to other parts of Fort wilderness and there is tons to do on site!!! And it doesn’t cost a fortune. The pool is included in the stay. Renting canoes was extremely reasonable as well as bike rental. The buses took you to the other part of the park ( as mentioned) where you can access the stables, shops, places to eat etc. not to mention you can watch the fireworks every night if you wanted. Awesome facilities !!! Bathrooms/showers are very nice with A/C. Overall great vibe ( its Disney after-all). Loved it!

Camping the Disney Way

Pricey but it's Disney. Lots of activities to do at the campground without going to the parks. Clean and well maintained campsites and bathrooms. The roads are narrow in the loops and the sites can be difficult to get into. Pet friendly with dog parks and trails.

Lots of activities 

We spent a week in the 1900 loop. It was close to the bus stop for quick access anywhere in the campground or any of the Disney Parks. It was quiet and the bathrooms were very clean.

Everything!

I cannot say enough good things about this campground. You get all the perks of staying on Disney property for a fraction of the cost. We stayed for 10 days Nov/Dec so everythingwas decorated for Christmas. Not as many food choices as some of the other resorts, but we mostly are in the parks or our camper anyway. You check in at a drive thru window, which my daughter loves. Pool was very nice as was the beach area. Preferred Campsite was a little tight to get intowith a 33 foot travel trailer, but was also super private with the landscaping.

Would return again and again! Best customer service! Best dining options! Great amenities, pools, movies, character interactions, hikes, water sports, proximity to the parks, everything here is amazing! From cabins to campsites you can’t go wrong!

Excellent Campground 

If you love the magic of Disney and love camping, than Disney Fort Wilderness Campground is exactly what you need for your next camping destination. Not only does the campground provide beautiful sites for tents, pop ups, and RV’s of all sizes- the entertainment and fun is unbeatable for the price. There is a variety of special happenings seasonally as well other great offerings around the property that are included to you as a guest of the resort. You can book a fishing excursion, enjoy a picnic, kick back on the beach and enjoy the fireworks and water parade or just chill at one of the many resting spots located all over the camp ground. If you’re not a big camper that’s ok too, there’s plenty to do for every person in your traveling Party, all you need to do is unlock the magic.

Magical Camping 

Wanted to check this off my list. We spend three days here. Nice campground and maybe worth the price if you are going the parks. The sites are close and the campground is huge. Glad we did it probably wouldn’t do it again.

Bucket List

I loved this campground. We are not Disney people but our kids wanted to go to universal and I could not find a nice campground with good reviews near universal so we decided to stay at Disney. Honestly, we are not Disney people but Disney definitely goes above and beyond on accommodations so what better place to stay then a Disney resort. This place is great. I really felt like I was at a campground and not at a Disney resort.

Checkin: we drove up to a gate where they asked us our name and then drove into the checkin area. We never had to get out of our car to checkin. The people were very nice and knowledgeable at checkin.

our campsite was 1709\. We were walking distance to the pool, arcade, trading post, and campfire/sing along. There were about 20 rv/camping spots in our loop. The area is wooded and quiet with bathrooms off to one side and laundry facilities on the other side. You need bands to uses these facilities and we were given bands on checkin.

My only problem with wilderness camping. There is not a lot of room in the loops to pull your rv into the spot. There is plenty of room between your rv and your neighbor next to you but not a lot of room across from your spot. We have a 27’ rv that is 33’ from top to top. Holy moly did it take a lot to get this into our spot. Our neighbor across from us had to move his truck and several neighbors were helping direct us into our spot. Everyone we spoke with complained about the lack of space to get a big rv into these spot. But... once in it was very nice.

Buses run very frequently and never had an issue getting a bus to the amenities. We took the bus to the marina area for dinner at the buffet, to watch the fireworks/ light show, and to see Cinderella’s horses and carriage. The bus drivers were very nice and knowledgeable about services and amenties in the resort. You can take the bus to the pool are but our lot was close enough to walk.

the Bathroom and laundry facility: the bathroom had 3 toilets and 3 shower / dressing are. They were clean and decorated with butterfly theme. They were nice. The laundry facility had about 6 washers and dryer. It was a laundry room nothing crazy. They did have a vending machine to buy laundry detergent.

The pool, arcade, sing along and trading post:

the pool is a nice size pool with a small water slide. There is a splash area in the back for small kids. The pool was ok. Honestly I expected more from Disney but it was clean, nice, and the kids can swim. I felt the lifeguards are very rude. Disney should look into this because they were rude.

The arcade was small and pathetic. Again expected more from Disney.

The sing along was fun. Chip and dale walk around to everyone. they ask that you don’t leave your spot and they will come to you and really they do. They stopped at every spot to take pictures. The fire pit was small and difficult to roast marshmallows. Again I expected more from Disney. There is a food truck to buy food and if you need marshmallows they are sold in the trading post right there.

My kids love pin trading and none of the employees here wear pins🙁 but from 7-730 the stores open a board and the kids can trade pins.

Overall I would stay here again if I ever go back to Disney.

Quiet and outside the hustle of Disney craziness

Who doesn’t love this place!!! From the second you get there it’s an experience. From the bot ride to Magic Kingdom to all the great activities they have. All I can say is Rent a golf cart, it’s worth it!!!

Anything that has to do with Disney World is magical, so ofcourse the campsites are beautiful... other than some loud, noisy group of people near our site it was close to perfect, they truly thought of everything to make camping comfortable, entertaining &amp; fun

Almost a dream come true 

We really love camping here. The campground is well laid out and the campers really get into the Disney spirit with decorations. The bath houses are immaculate. There is bus service throughout the campground with bus and boat service to the Parks.

So much fun!

One of, if not the best campground, we have ever visited. Been there many times, getting pricy, just to camp.

Premier Camping 

I know, I know, before you start the "that's not camping, it's Disney"... Okay, yes, it's Disney, but it's not like visiting anything else on Disney property. You don't feel like you're at Walt Disney World, with thousands of other people. We reserved one site, and had 5 adults and 3 kids staying there comfortably. Two tents and two cars and we still had room around the fire pit and picnic table.

It is surprisingly quiet at night, considering the size and amount of kids running around. The amenities are endless. You really can just stay within the campground and not visit the Parks and have a great time. From horseback riding to hiking, canoeing, fishing and boating, there is so much to do! One of my favorite things that I have been doing since I was a kid is going to watch a movie under the stars. They do it every night and have free s'mores for the kids and Chip n Dale come to meet them. It's really a fun night, for young and old.

There are a couple of restaurants and little general stores with basic groceries, so they really make it so you have everything you need.

Being Disney, it's a bit higher than your average campground, but the amenities and perks make up for it. Should you choose to include the Parks, you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, with free transportation throughout Disney property.

There's nowhere like Disney

We think this the best way to experience WDW. It is supremely organized and amazingly clean. The comfort stations are high end. The spaces are surprisingly spacious. There are different levels of site amenities, but all are terrific. Do yourself a favor and book the premium. (RV) It is all hard surface and level. The lesser priced sites are all level too but use a crushed shell material that track all over in your RV. Full hookups are of course available, along with cable TV, and wired internet. Two pools, two stores, two restaurants. Take a boat to MK. DO NOT miss the Hoop-De-Do show at the lake end of the campground. You get all the perks of staying at a hotel resort here, but sleep in your own bed. Make your reservations as far in advance as possible to get the dates you want. Check in is fun even if there is a line. 
Rent a golf cart, you’ll be sorry if you don’t, the campground is gigantic. 

This is penultimate “camping”

If you love the outdoors and the magic of the mouse, this is the spot. Dont go over the summer months unless in an rv or cabin though. Too hot

Glamping Disney Style

Great campsites the only reason for 4stars is cost. Expensive camping for 1 or 2. The plus is you are allow up to 10 on a campsite. Plenty to do. Private sites.  Reservations ned to be booked way out. Can jandle the larger rv’s.

What can I say? There's not a single bad thing about this campground.  The site is cleaned before I got there, and I don't mean straightened up, it's scrubbed clean. Perfectly level concrete pad at the perfect angle to easily back into. The buses come often enough. 

It's Disney!

Of course the experience is great. Lots of water since the rain has been insane. Just hit the pool and nothing else. It’s always fun coming here. 

Disney being Disney.

Rent the go cart! Only $60 a day but well worth it! Big park so lots of walking if you don’t have the cart (or you can bring your own and/or bikes).  Our grandsons loved the golf cart! They have two pools, one geared for kids (closed at 11pm) and another one more for adults (open 24 hours).  Bathrooms were extremely clean and air conditioned. Campfire show and movie at night and don’t forget to bring your s’mores to roast! Fireworks and light parade over the lake at night as well. Our space was 1109 and very nice...towards middle of park. They have about three or four places to eat if you don’t want to cook.  No mosquitos which is so rare for Florida but Disney goes to great lengths to rid the mosquitos.  Great time .... you will love it!

Great family campground!

Loved our stay at Fort Wilderness. Our favorite Disney Resort. Super dog friendly with an amazing dog park. Great location and so many wonderful things to do here. 

Can we live here forever?

We opted for the premium pad and loved the space. Great for a weekend getaway with the family and pooch. The only thing I will say is to think about what loop space you are in. Ours had the walkway to the showers right next to it  people walked by us all day which was ok for us but others may not like that.

Great Premium Pads!

The 750 acre Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort has 847 campsites and 363 cabins(moderate level resort rooms). Campsite fees range from$75 to$189 per night and cabins from$364 to$568 per night. We booked early on their website for our full hookup campsite(50amp electric, water, sewer and cable) https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/ If you have difficulty making reservations for sequential nights, check to see if one night at a time is available and then call customer service about 2 weeks prior to your arrival. They are more than happy to ensure your reservation reflects the full number of nights in a single campsite. Disney does not allow you to select your site in advance, instead they assign you a site based on a purchased tier. At check-in you can provide a few preferred sites and they may be able to accommodate your request based on availability. Each loop has inner sites(camper angled toward the road) and outer sites(camper angled away from the road). We prefer the privacy of the outer loops; this gives us more space to enjoy nature. As Fort Wilderness has thousands of campsites, we recommend using either a bike or golf cart as transportation to the outpost(store), restaurants, pools, playgrounds and horse ranch. There are no parking spaces for cars at any of the amenity locations. To get to the theme parks, Disney transportation is a must with the option for bus to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom or boat to Animal Kingdom. Be sure to try the Ribs from P&amp; J’s Southern takeout!

Where the magic is!

we spent 8 nights here and as you would expect, Disney does it right!  clean, quiet, so many amenities you cannot do them all!  we had probably one of the worst sites in the campground, right in the front of one of the loops and on a corner with no real privacy.  it wasn't an issue for us but its something to watch out for when you pull in. great pool and pond to fish or boat in.

everything you would expect plus some.

What’s there to say.... It’s Disney it the woods. You can Tent, RV or rent a Cabin. Of course there are different levels of sites . $,$$,$$$... and so on. All sites have FULL hook up. Water, power, and  sewer. NO open top fires. You must have an approved fire pit with a top to stop the Ambers from flying away. NO exceptions. The place is huge and I highly recommend a bike or golf cart to get around. Both can be rented but at a price.

You can just stay at the campgrounds because there is tons to do. We have stayed there many time and never went to the parks and still got the Disney feel and treatment.  There are a couple restaurants to eat at.  2 pools and one is better then the other.  They do nightly shows with characters meet-n-greets at NO CHARGE! I believe it was Chip and Dale. They have a FULL marina where you can hang out at the beach, rents boats, fishing trips, etc...at a cost of Course.  

There is a pond/river running thoughout the camp grounds. You can fish(fee) and rent Canoes. Nice little adventure that anyone can navigate. 

There is an are kinda like a petting zoo. And so much more.  Overall a great “Disney”very kids friendly place for the family.

Disney magic plus camping... what else can I say. Great facilities great atmosphere.  Only negative is lack of fires being allowed.  

Worth the extra money

Love everything about this park. It was gorgeous,  clean, spacious, friendly, and so fun. We didn’t go check out the amenities really, it was too cold. But, taking a boat to the magic kingdom adds to the magic of the park. My dog loved the dog park. We went at Christmas time and everyone’s campsite was all decorated with blow up and Disney and festive Christmas lights. We don’t have any children but still felt the magic of it. I’d totally recommend staying there if you’re in Orlando and wanting to go to Disney.

Just Disney

Our second trip here and it is always a blast. Rented a golf cart and the kids loved that. Problem is the mask policy as soon as you step out of your site you are required to wear a mask. Just a pain in the but. Other than that this is a must stop.

Stayed here in Feb 2021. Love how spread out the campsites are and how quiet this entire resort is. Can't wait for everything to open back up fully because the Trails End brunch is the best breakfast food buffet in all of Disney World. 
Nice walking paths. Definitely suggest bringing a bike along since there are so many trails to explore. 

The Best Way to Stay at Disney

Our first stay at Fort Wilderness we stayed 3 weeks and have been addicted since. This is not your average campground. The sites are secluded with trees and wildlife. The one lane road getting into the site loops can be tight for larger rigs and some sites are different lengths and more difficult to maneuver than others. The campground is very large about 1,000 acres I believe. We have seen turkey, armadillo, deer, alligators, etc. armadillo typically come out to feed at the later evening hours, and are not shy about foraging your site. Alligators were usually only seen at night by the creek via golf cart. One staff member told us to notify Disney of any sighting and they will immediately remove the alligator. There is a beach and lake, however, there is no swimming. You can fish. There is horseback riding, Segway, golf carts, Hoo-Dee-Do revue (when it returns), buffet style restaurant (if it returns), a tavern and fast-ish restaurant. Sometimes a good truck also. There is a water pageant at night. You can rent fishing excursions (extra cost). Canoes, kayaks and bicycles are available to rent. Note: the canoes and kayaks must be used on the creek in the middle of the recreation area. It is a closed unmarked loop and probably not the best for a novice unless accompanied by an intermediate. The water is black- some kind of algae the staff stated. They will give you a air horn to sound if you see a gator, get stuck, overturn, etc. the staff then must board their own vessel to come find you... have not experienced this, but did witness it. There are basketball courts, tennis etc, and the bike barn will also provide these supplies. Archery for children. Two pools and a kids area. Snack bar at the one pool. Once you stay here, it’ll be hard to not fall in love and judge every other campground. 

Absolute best of the best 

We loved the campground.  So much beauty, wildlife, and activities.  Kids had a wonderful time at pool and participating in trivia nights and games.  Bike rides were fun and enjoyed going to marina to watch light parade. Saw lots of wildlife!! Squirrels, rabbits, wild turkey, and lots of deer! 

Our campsite wasn’t the most private or largest. But the proximity to pool and activities was wonderful.  Comfort stations were very clean. 

Excellent Family Vacation

This was a very nice campgrounds. Lots of fun things to do. The archery and horseback riding seemed a little pricey so we had to skip on them but the pool was the highlight for the kids and the playgrounds are fun.

We have stayed at WDW Fort Wilderness many times, but never in a premium spot. We were pleasantly surprised with the difference in size in the Premium site over a Preferred site. The spot has everything you can imagine with the exception of a fire 🔥 ring. The comfort stations are near by and are modern and air conditioned. Everything is accessible by bus, walking or golf carts. 

Awesome Premium Site

I have been to Disney many times and this was my first time camping here! I loved it! It is so nice to have your own space, bathrooms are really clean and cast members are great. Sad that since I came in April 2021 that not most of the fun activities weren’t open, however there was still lots to do. I actually relaxed this Disney trip! For the first time I went to the pool and just enjoyed being around family. Boat straight to the Magic Kingdom is a huge plus! Best advice I can give is to RENT A GOLF CART! “Looping” is tons of fun( just driving around the campsite loops) but also just getting to the buses to the parks is tough without a golf cart, sure you can bike or wait on a bus, but it only takes you to the front...trust me rent the golf cart! Fort Wilderness is HUGE, you won’t regret spending the extra money.

Best Disney Vacation!

Nice site. We had a really nicely shaded one right by the convenience house.  Very quiet area.  We thought of renting a golf cart but the Mrs. Said it wasn’t worth it.  We literally walked or rode our bikes around the whole area, not each individual campground area.

Will we go again?  Maybe, after we’ve tried the many other less expensive/non Disney campgrounds.

Overall great facilities.  The only issue ( and a big issue)  is our camping spot backed up to a main road with  little to no privacy.  Felt like we were camping next to a busy  Highway.   Not all spots are like this but ours was..

Best way to do Disney!

We have camped at Fort Wilderness many times and always have a fantastic experience. It’s pricey but the campground is worth it in our opinion. The sites are large, wooded, and have full hook-ups. The campground has so much to do we hardly go out to the parks when we visit. Bring or rent a golf cart, because the campground is huge! 

Sites are spacious with concrete pads. Loops make sure you are never far from a "comfort station" or bathhouse. From water park to horse rides to lots of evening activities, plenty to do here without going to any theme parks. Skip the Bingo and enjoy everything else!!!

Glamping Disney style

Everything you would expect from Disney. Had fun fishing, canoeing and swimming. The pool is heated and the temperature was great on a few chilly days in Florida.

Great for tent or Pull Behind

Arrived early November and stayed a month.  We were in complete shock that Halloween had ended 3 days prior and campers already have their campsites decorated for Christmas!   Truly outstanding campground, every person was extremely friendly and outgoing.  This was a pure delight for all.  We didn’t even have to go to theme park at all because there is so much to do.  Definitely need your golf cart here.  Don’t worry, they rent golf carts if you don’t have one.  Just make sure to reserve far ahead because it books up fast.

Boyd's Key West Campground

Huge campground, lots to do. Pristine ground with comfort stations and trash cans everywhere

Spotless.

Yes it’s expensive, it’s Disney. That said the camp site is very well maintained as all Disney properties are. All sites are on concrete which for us required no side to side leveling. The site was large enough to fit our 30ft airstream with the truck parked in front. Our campsite seem to not have as much room as others on the passenger side. Behind concrete pad is gravel, this is where the picnic table and grill is.  There is plenty of room for chairs and a fire pit in the graveled area. The restrooms and showers are very clean and has great water pressure. All comfort stations have an ice machine and it’s only $2 for a bag of ice. The gift shops sells liquor, wine, beer, plates, condiments and other items if you forget them. There are playgrounds spread throughout the campsite. We stayed with four other families and requested to be next to each other and Disney honored the request. We rented a golf cart on property, definitely worth it. You can also rent from off property vendors as well. You have a great view of the fireworks from the lake and beach area. They have a restaurant and food trucks in this area as well. Plenty of fun activities for the kids no need to go to the park everyday when staying here. 

Great family fun

Stayed as a base camp for visiting the parks. Everything was perfect except the bus schedules were a little slow (long waits) and directions for which bus to get to which park was a little confusing even when using the Disney app.

Otherwise the campground was perfect. Clean bathrooms, enough space at each campsite, and sites were paved and level

Almost perfect

As per Disney standards this campground is top notch and worth every penny. 2 pools and easy transportation to all the parks. The sites are level, clean and have great hookups. Our pups especially like the dog park. Don’t forget to rent a golf cart!

Best Campsite ever

As an Orlando native, I’m sad to say I never spent time hear growing up. Oh how I missed out!

The best advice I can give is to SKIP THE PARKS when staying here. There’s so much fun to be had, outside of your normal camping experience. Rent a canoe or a bike, go on a fishing excursion with a guide, make tie dye shirts, watch movies by the campfire, or just rent a golf cart ($$) and go looping for hidden treasure!

We stayed in a tent loop right across from the swimming pool, walking distance to the pool and Bike Barn (where you rent everything and play). It wouldn’t be necessary to have a cart if that’s all you were after but the internal bus system is a bit miserable IMO and looping is part of the fun here.

Our stay was early August and it was about $50 a night with AP discount. Or golf cart each night was around $62, yikes. They find a way to getcha.

For meals, they have one takeout place (P&amp;J’s) an expensive dining show (Hoop De Doo), and Trail’s End which is only open for breakfast and dinner. They do have a food truck round up most nights and they have a walk up bar open all day.

The site itself was great, electric and water right there. No fire pit as Disney is strict on the type you can have, but if you are lucky you can find one on the “Wandering Fire Pit” group.

Haven’t stayed in an RV on site but they seem level but some are easier to back in than others. No pull through. If you get there you can ask for something different than what you are assigned or even ask the folks up front for details on your sites width.

We enjoyed and will be back to stay as soon as we can. In the interim, we visit often to enjoy a meal and fun!

We love our beloved Fort Wilderness!

This campground truly has the magic of Disney in it. The atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable. Very clean throughout! 

Our Favorite Trip Yet!

We stayed at site 1001 which was a premium location right by a bus stop and across from the meadow trading post and pool. The down side is that you are literally at the bus stop which buses run from 7am til midnight which means you can not really sleep until after midnight. It is also right on the road so there are trucks and golf carts driving and beeping all night. I loved the proximity to everything but it is very load and busy. 

Great campsite with a few issues 

The sites and facilities are nice. But the campground is huge and they used to have great transportation around the property and to the Disney parks in the area. Now they seem to be cutting costs and transportation is unreliable. Sadly the solution is to rent electric carts at additional expense to an already top dollar charge to stay there. Very dissatisfied. 

Nice campground but hard to get around

Such a beautiful and clean campground.  Our "Premium Meadows" site was huge, directly across the street from the trading post and pool, and backed up to a trail.  Classy neighbors and very quiet.  Amazing value to be in the middle of Disney for $130/night.  A short golf cart ride to the Magic Kingdom ferry, and a similarly short ride to the buses to other parks.  Definitely recommend the golf cart rental- so much easier and more fun than waiting for buses.  The Hoop Dee Doo was awesome- a ton of food and pretty funny.  Both pools were super clean and not crowded- open late too which was fun.  This campground is so nicely wooded and full of paths.  We can't wait to return.

I simply can't say enough about Ft. Wilderness. It will always be a part of the magic of our Disney family vacations.
