Week-long stay

Nice place, great owners. Too many kids for me. $452 for the week, plus $ 10 for the poop truck.

Great Stopover or Amusement Park visit

Campground is only years old. Sites were large enough for RV. NO privacy, bit tent sites were ok. Fre showers for number of campsites, but very clean. Affiliated with Lake Compounce Amusement Park adjacent to campground.

Great place to camp

Son and I stayed from Friday to Sunday. Easy to find the camp and the plot, well marked. Very nice sized lots. Large open areas for kids and adults to play during day and star gaze at night. Close to a small walking path and a larger intermediate hiking trail. Bathrooms were clean and staff were…

Fun family campground

Great people, great place! Kitchen open on weekends, yummo! Great safe place for kids to play. Bingo and dancing!

We pulled a 27ft travel trailer. Electric and water available. Dump station on the way out.

Pricey but nice

There are many seasonal campers here but the sites are neat and clean. I called the day before I wanted to visit and was able to be accommodated. The camp store is well stocked and inviting. Will not hesitate to come back or recommend this campground.

Nice and quiet.

Salt Rock, September 18-19, 2021:

Perhaps one-third full, this was a nice stop.  The bathhouses are a bit outdated, but clean and functional.  Good choice of campsites, from open to wooded, rustic to power and water.  Nice open field for activities.  Dump station needed to be pumped, and therefore…

Great Location, Beautiful Beach!

We had a great time at Indian Island, even if it was just for a short stay. The beach was within walking distance, lots of little trails, and plenty of activities for the whole family. The bathrooms were mostly clean, and the shower was hot. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the campsites…

Wasp Breeding Ground!

Pros: Helpful staff, morning garbage pickup, excellent laundry facility, plenty of activities and amenities for children. Cons: Wasps!! Wasps everywhere!! We did our best to keep them at bay by lighting some sage but they were persistent. Not much privacy back in the tent/cabin areas, camp sites…

Great place to relax

I stayed at site 31 in the month of July. It was flat and easy to put up my tent. Partial shade. There are RV water faucets throughout the campground.

I go every summer

One of my favorite places to camp on Long Island. Beach is a 2 minute walk and the campground are right outside town of Montauk . Not dog friendly

Enormous and well maintained

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet. The salt water pool was clean. Booked a site for October before we left. Showers could use updating.

Very noisy

Beautiful forest, but campground affords very little privacy between sites. RVs mixed with tents and noisy generators running all day and night.
